Who are players in the NBA right now they need to get out after this season? A couple of names that come to me are Payton, Zo, Webber if things dont get any better. He is way past his prime plus injuries, its just all going bad for him. Who other players come to your mind?

I dont know how healthy he is with his.....meaning I dont know how much that operation took out of him, but he sure as hell still has alot of talent. Webber doesn't need to retire either. He had a very good year last year. He just needs a change of scenery. Once he goes to another team and he doesn't do anything, then he can retire.

As long as you are good enough to make a team, you don't need to retire. Just because you are old doesn't mean you can't play, as long as they keep making the team, they can keep trying out is what I say.

Yes he is a good bench player, but he cannot stay in for a long time due to his health. Thats as far as I know. I didnt say Webber needed to retire, its just a thing to consider if he cant play anymore. Thats what I mean by people who need to retire, if they cant play anymore due to injuries or old age.

Mutombo is done after this season as well.

It's almost getting to that, with Kenyon Martin, he just cannot stay healthy, and his career is rapidly coming to an end..

K-Mart will not retire for a while, and I will put money on that. He has to much heart and love for the game to just give up like that. Its going to take a lot for him to call it quits.

If you want me to go through the list of teams that he could start on, I will do it. There are at least a few that he could...no doubt. The Spurs are one of them.

He cannot play 35-40 night in and night out. Sorry that is a fact. Yeah he played 35 mintues last game, but I bet his numbers will go down each night as the time goes on when Shaq isnt there. He would have retired last year if they didnt win it all and he almost retired this year. But one thing he has is the desire to win, thats why hes still playing.

But at some point, he just can't keep injuring himself, and teams will be reluctant to sign him or receive him in a trade because of his health issues..I doubt he retires in the next 2 years, but realisticlly he needs to give it up pretty soon..His body just can't handle it obviously..

Shaq, Clifford Robinson.I know I know, both of them can still play, but in a couple of games I saw both of them, it looked like they have seemed to have lost the "fire" a little bit. The competitive drive. I mean, I have a lot of respect for the both of them, but maybe it's been enough. I don't want to see their game decline (even more)Zo is a warrior, he's got his ring, still can play, proved that he still can defend anyone, so what else is left?Dikembe, well, his bio says he's 40, but rumors are no one knows what his age really is. I heard that he's 87 right now, so if he quits, well, I could respect that. I would sure miss his frog voice though.

I'm never going to say 'this guy should retire'...you should stay as long as you want and play whereever you want...regardless of what stupid fans say.
