Flurry of points by Batum (who ends up with 25) at the end but France still loses to Australia. Whose best player is the Spurs scrub Baynes.

Edit: according to this they took one of Nic's points away.

Trivia: without using the internet, which NBA teams (plural) had a player on each side of the France/Australia matchup?

Would be better for Dame to:

    A. Make the team and get minutes
    B. Make the team as insurance, but not play much
    C. Get cut from team

I think B. Might be the best option. If he makes the team and doesn't play he would still learn a lot from being there and being around those guys as they try to win it all.

A or B. Whatever gets him to continue to play with and against such high quality players is a good thing.

B would be OK, but I don't think that is the best scenario. Playing 20 minutes every few days is not going to wear him down. I would say A is best as it gives him the best experience. If you have to travel, you might as well play. So I would put it in this order: A, C, B.

But overall he has already gotten something out of it.

    C. no other option. It could very well impact the team if we are to be in a playoff stretch... And we know terry doesnt sit his starters.

Well, obviously the Spurs, if Tony Parker plays.

Aren't Gobert and the French guy with the Wizards on the team?(Seraphin maybe?)

Gobert plays for france. I think the question is what nba teams have a player on the France roster and the Australia roster.

Gobert plays for the jazz anyways, seraphin does play for the wiz though.

    http://espn.go.com/olympics/basketb...roster-cut-come-thursdayex_cid=espnnbaTwitter

"USAB must submit its official 12-man roster for the World Cup on Aug. 29 -- one day before the tournament starts -- but Colangelo said there remains "a possibility we could carry 13 to Spain" and then make one last cut in the final week before the tournament begins"

That would suck if Dame had to fly to Spain and then got cut....

Hopefully he will know by Thursday.

Man... that team is going to suck if it's got Faried for any half-court game as a 'core' player. And I like Faried.

Kyrie being a lock is a bit unexpected. I thought he and Dame were neck and neck.

Damn. Dame is gonna get cut-- I feel bad for the PGs on the USA roster now. #DamegoingHAM
