With the emergence of Bynum, Brown IMO will be relagated to the bench. Bynum is performing better than a healthy Brown ever did. Because of this Kwame is unlikely to become much more than he is now- basically a flop with a bucket load of wasted talent. Sad I always had high hopes he would one day become the star he could be.

Wow...way to give up on Kwame.... :no3: Kwame is just recovering from an injury and is playing pretty well so far. Of course Bynum is starting over him considering he has played more and Kwame still has to work for his starting spot. But I think Kwame should start and not Vlad. Having Kwame and Bynum downlow would be pretty amazing.

That is a good point. But I still stand by what I said about him beingf a flop. I hadn't considered him at PF - that is prob his preferred position. Injury or No Bynum is your future in regards to big man. Kwame is a serviceable backup/accompanyment.

Sorry, I made a mistake...Walton is starting not Vlad, and I think Luke deserves his starting spot. But Kwame still should get his minutes logged with or without Bynum.

What I like about Luke so far is that he?s not afraid to make the play and most of the time he is making the right play.I don?t really care who?s starting between Bynum/Brown, one of the reason why I like one of them off the bench is that it will give us an inside presence in offense and defense all the time when one of them is resting. In the 4th quarter I see Phil going with KOBE, Lamar and the rest will depend on who is playing better that night. Whether it?s Bynum or Kwame in the C position or maybe even both at the same time.................. PJ will be going by feel every game with this line-up for now IMHO.

this is the ideal position for the lakers! they have 2 domineering centers who both can start and dominate and the other can come off the bench and dominate. no team can compete with this dynamic duo of Kwame and Andrew no center and the league can keep up woth both of them throughout 48 minnutes. because they will alternate who will be staying fresh throughout the game!

I'd have to agree that I'd start Walton as well. He's one of those players that meshes well with others. He's the glue as far as I'm concerned for the Lakers. You have Batman and Robin in Kobe and Odom, then have nice complaments with Bynum and Parker while Walton holds it all together. Also, when you bring him off the bench, we all know he isnt a great scorer, so he cant carry the offense. Leaves Vlad with the 2nd unit who can be that 1st or 2nd option while Kobe and/or Odom are on the bench. Now on Kwame, I dont think he is doomed to stay a flop. He can become a great 6th man off the bench. Lot's of players flourish in this position.

Kobe and Lamar can dominate (Lamar has cooled off since Kobe's return, but still), but I don't think Kwame or Bynum are at the point where either of them dominate. They are solid players, but they're not Shaq, Howard, Brand, Okafor, Yao, or anything like that. They might help wear down those kinds of guys, but they won't dominate them. That's silly. There's also the position that teams like Dallas and Phoenix are in, where they can throw a few different guys in or go small. It's not the simple job that you make it out to be, at least not the way I see it.

Chris Mihm is out for the season, so Brown will get lots of time anyway. It's up to him to progress now..
