But the bad thing about this option is that the adapter is $100 in stores, and the cheapest I've seen it go for (other than eBay) is about $70. My cousin was able to get a used one for around $20 off of eBay though.

Around 99.99% sure. My roomie just plugged one in, so somehow I doubt that it is unique unless I wasn't paying attention at all.
