That is fucking awesome. Imagine if this proved true and we began to understand it and developed ways to amplify or manipulate it. Talking about getting the most out of our brains, we as a society right now aren't ready for that, we don't understand enough and we are too impulsive.

Apparently they can and will arrest people for buying roots and bark online. What a brilliant use of tax money!

Apparently the way the law is written up weight of substance containing DMT = weight of DMT(as far as the law is concerned)

You're selectively parsing the Bible using your own separate common sense moral standard again. I could quote dozens of verses that specifically mention there will be a judgment and punishment and directly imply sinners/unbelievers do not go to Heaven. To believe Jesus was God, but just ignore what he said about judgment is being intellectually dishonest.

Matthew 7:21-23 is a good place to start.

There was a great This American Life about a pastor in (I think) Chicago who came to believe there was no hell, and how that revelation affects his parishioners.

Matthew 25:31-46 might also be applicable.

Do you really think means he would turn away man or be angry at man that have used God for their own selfish ego?

The answer lies in the meaning of a Greek word, "tetelestai" found in John 19:30. It is usually translated, "it is finished." "Tetelestai" means something fully completed, paid up in full, no longer having any outstanding debt. It was used in reference to bills having been paid. It occurs only in John 19, nowhere else in the Bible.

But the best scripture would be 1st John 2:2--"He is our propitiation for our sins, and not for our sins only, but for the sins of the whole world." Here the Greek word "hilasmos" is translated as "propitiation," meaning a complete satisfaction of a debt. This word is found only in 1st John 2.

So even though most in the Christian faith still believe that one must believe in him, as some "road to eternal life", I see it as Christ paying the price for all so that sin will not be in the way to eternal life and connection with God.

I think that Jesus wouldn't indicate that he might respond to someone with "depart from me, I never knew you," if such a response were impossible.

I don't presume to think that I know the mind of God; no God that were completely within my powers of comprehension would be worthy of worship. But I think there are to many places in scripture where Christ alludes to or directly mentions judgment or eternal punishment to think that the won't be such a thing.

As you know, scripture should be interpreted by other scripture, such that all is consistent. IMO, your interpretation of John 2:2 is not consistent with the whole of the Canon.

However, I'm also of the opinion that Christians focus too much on Hell and condemnation anyway.

I do admit there is mention of "punishment" for sin is death "eternal hell", but if you follow his ministry, he talked more about forgiveness and paying the ultimate price for all man.

It is only my personal belief, but I see Jesus coming to Earth as flesh to pay the ultimate price for all sin or the entire "sin" that destroyed humanity. And if the price was paid for all, then I would assume our loving God would not set limitations on who he gets into Heaven.

I think the moment man decides to accept him liberates man from the burden of sin, but the price has always been paid.

Think about what Jesus truly said...

When Jesus was on the cross, he said to his father.

    "Luke 23:34
Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."

This leads me to believe "forgive them all" even the ones that have put him to this place. It wasn't "God forgive them as long as they accept me" it was just to forgive them all.

    "Matthew 5:43-44
43 You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy’. 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."

Wouldn't you believe that those that do not accept Christ be his enemy? If that's the case, then if Jesus commanded us to "bless your enemies" would be "forgive them"?

Then let's take what he said in
    "John 12:32
But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself. "

Notice that he said "all men"? That leads me to believe, even those that have refused to believe him.

I believe there is a Lake of Fire, but it is a "cleansing tool" so that man can have a second birth.

    "John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish (apollymi) but have everlasting life."

Hell fire and brimstone Christians interpret this as some due needed to get into Heaven. I see this as God reaffirming that all will believe in him after death. And when that moment happens, they will see the kingdom of Heaven
