He didn't make the practice squad.... flat out release... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000386294/article/michael-sam-released-by-st-louis-rams?campaign=Facebook_atl_sessler
^^^ I just love the media circus surrounding the release of a freaking 7th round draft pick...not to mention the carefully worded tightrope walking by the Rams and others, because they fear they will be viewed as somehow being (wait for it) "politically incorrect". ...can anyone remember any other 7th round draft being released and getting this kind of attention?...ever?...and why does it merit a news conference? ..I also just love how certain hand picked topics are arbitrarily determined to be newsworthy. I'd like to know who is responsible for making these decisions of the agenda du jour. The path we have been led down is unbelievably disturbing, as is the vast number of sheep who follow.
It really amazes me sometimes what these media assholes consider news worthy This certainly is not & should not.
All the effing hype for nothing......... Go home to your beau Sam, time to wake up and get a real job.......
seems like a lot of u cant keep michael sam out of your mouth. must be that he's black and gay. closet rednecks longing for some discrete brokeback action.
Yes he was a 7th round pick, but one of the top defensive players in the SEC last year. Clearly most teams did not want the circus that followed. Some of the problem was the media. I agree with Rick when he said he played well in the minutes he played. Also agree with you he should have stayed quiet. He had his reasons for going public. I am not him, so...
...I agree, but as we know, success on the college level does not always translate to the NFL...I have no doubt the guy can play, but I think he should have wait till he "came out", or better yet, just kept it to himself. Afterall, it's nobody's business but his...I'm from the "don't ask, don't tell" camp.
