I don't see any harm in trying to get the kid on the roster next year. Kick Mills to the curb and open up a spot Petteri.

I would be especially keen if that meant Portland didn't sign Blake in the off season.

    Another injury-prone player. Great.

Poor Blake. So reviled for the simple crime of being mediocre ... but I tend to agree.

One injury does not "prone" make.

What? Who the hell does he think he is, rehabbing at home? He should be behind the bench, supporting his team! What a loser!

Ok I am just going to throw this out there. Goran Dragic didn't look like a whole lot when he came into the league either. But then again, he got to play and learn from Steve Nash.

I think if Petteri is anywhere near the level of Goran Dragic (good vision, a pretty good shooter, with good size for the position) then I think he could fit in very well, my biggest question marks are his athleticism ability to hang defensively in the NBA ... who knows, maybe we'll find out one day.

So, if Petteri goes to the Suns, he'll be fine?

I think learning from a Multiple League MVP pass first PG could never hurt anybody who plays ball.

Nobody has stated the obvious reason Bayless was traded: to make room for PETTERI!

Well, maybe not. But he had a good game in a loss today. Here's a translation of his Italian League page.

One thing's a bit odd: he's supposed to be a "playmaker" but has registered 0 assists so far, but a lot of three pointers. As I know from my own eyes that he is a better PG than Bayless, I'm guessing they're playing him at the 2.

Petteri's still big in Finland. Although it's not clear who's star of this commercial - him or his girlfriend:

Koponen-mania was so many years ago. How old is he now, 42, 43? It's nice that he's still making the rounds in Europe.
