I can't wait for this entire Maui Invitational to start, its looking like a nice lineup of team s in it. UCLA, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Memphis, and Oklahoma are all in the tournament, so there are some good looking potential matchups in this tournament this year. We might not have a triple over time thriller like Gonzaga and Michigan State put up, but it should be good basketball anwyays. So far this game is looking really sloppy. Neither team is shooting well, and aside from one decent pass from both teams, one a pass down low to Landry for Purdue, and the other a pass down low from Young, the passes have been sloppy. I think Purdue's guards are playing to high up on the floor, I know you don't want to get to get to close spacing, but there's no need for them to be so far away from the three point line.

The first 12-13 minutes of this game was extremely sloppy on both ends. A lot of turnovers, passed up oppertunities, and missed layups. Ra-Sean Dickey really provided a big spark off the bench for GT. He was a presence inside and he crashed the boards.

Thaddeus Young was alright. He made some extrodinary passes, I had no idea he had that kind of vision. He made 2 excellent blocks and he played solid overall defense. He put up a couple questionable shots, and he's not shooting very well from the outside. I'd like to see him attack the basket a little better in the second half.

Georgia Tech finished the first half very strong, let's hope they can carry that over to the second half.

Im just pissed he didnt come to Memphis, his father said he didnt want his son playing for a white guy..... :thumbdn1:

Good win for GT. I mean, they should have won the game, but they bounced back after the shaky start.

    - Thaddeus Young is a freak athlete, but god damn he needs to work on his ballhandling. He's not a good ballhandler at all. Ballhandling and shot selection needs to improve, but other than that, this kid is a special raw talent.

    - Javaris Crittenton is going to be a good point guard. He's big, he's calm, he's a good ballhandler, good vision, can score the ball. I like him, he'll be a guy I watch out for in the future.

    - Ra-Sean Dickey was sensational off the bench. He controlled the paint. He grabbed rebounds, blocked shots, made hustle plays, and played good defense. He was the difference maker.

    - For Purdue, Chris Kramer was all over the place! How can you not love this kids play? He's an all-out hustler, a very good defensive player, very heady. He makes things happen as well as provide all the intangibles a coach could ask for.

EDIT: Also, just letting you know if you didn't watch the game/find out, Georgia Tech will play Memphis tomorrow at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN.
