Joan Rivers was a true pioneer, and an absolute beast of a comedian. In a time where so many people are scared to speak their minds, she spoke hers, loud and proud, and most importantly she was unapologetic and extremely funny
Rickles put himself down. She never did. I agree with Johnny Carson, who couldn't stand her. As someone who watched her on his show since either 1967 or 68, I forget which, I say, "Good riddens."
