...as if it's even possible, these 2 have actually gotten worse... just when the Yanx need them the most. ...again, the 4-5-6 spots have killed this team's offense this year. Batting 4th; .228 .314 .395 .710 Batting 5th; .237 .297 .378 .674 Batting 6th; .225 .282 .398 .680
And this is suppose to be the HEART of the order. I can't believe I'm saying this but could A-Rods numbers be any worse? I also think come next season you're going to see Prado higher up in the batting order. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in either the 2 or 3 hole. JMO.
Some of the comments I've heard from Tex make me think he's about a bright a two microwatt bulb painted red.
I'm not surprised that this organization lacks the ability to identify offensive talent in the post-PED era. Its something all the small market teams have depended on for so long. In the case of Beltran, age finally caught him. TeX has been on a steady decline in BA, OBP, SLG (and OPS for those in Rio Linda) since 2009. So he peaked in his late 20s and now is on that steady career decline, which is how things were when we were all young, looking back before PEDs and guys improving in their 30s.
I long for a more innocent time, when Baseball Cards were 5 cents a pack, and PEDs were Hot Dogs and Beer, Bazooka Gum too....LOL...!
This shit pile is all Cushman's and the brothers want more with him in the lead. The curse of empty seats be with them.
Can't wait to watch Tex and Beltran all next season along with McCann and A rod. Should be even more thrilling than this season. Oh and I forgot to mention CC the pitcher who can't even get his fastball to 90 anymore. I have been so annoyed lately and have just plain given up.
Banging rocks, that'll work.... I'm currently using my Cracker Jacks magnifying glass to start fires....LOL...
____________________________________________ If I were your basic established Yankee manager - I would've picked the lineup out of a hat (a while back) .... just to take some pressure off and created some lighthearted atmosphere. I know , mr. conservatives-by-the-book don't approve, but remember, I'm talking as if I were the Yankee manager. This is what I would've done...more than once, whether "they" like it or not. I think it's called -- "managing". lol
cannot watch Tex(.220) and Beltran(.235) anymore.....two overpaid athletes who under perform on a consistent basis. Total decline. But what's worse, taking 3 strikes without taking bat off of their shoulders....and runners on base. P i t i f u l!
Beltran is not as much of a concern for me as Tex is. He's been playing hurt all season long & I expect better of him next season. Teixeira on the other hand refuses to do anything to help the team or himself. I mean if he could just learn to hit the other way once in a while his average would be AT LEAST 20 points higher.
...and like I've been saying, if he and the other "shiftees" would do the same thing, the shift would be busted up eventually.
