We probably have one every year. It deserves it's own thread every year. I know my perspective changes every year, with every piece of info that comes out, home-based or from the Middle East. I solute the brave that gave their lives to save those of others.
Do it. We celebrate 12.7 every year. My wife is part-Japanese. Her grandfather continues to say it's the day he found out he was different. The thing is... 9/11 is very relevant to today's events.... Just sayin'.
after 9/11, Kenyan Masai tribespeople donated 14 cows to the US to help with the aftermath of 9/11. To the Masai, the cow equals life.
Cool story. Is it legit? And then there's this........ reports of missing planes in Libya. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/09/04/libya-missing-planes-sept-11/15059169/

Here are 3 pictures of U.S. government torturers raping an Iraqi POW in one of the dozens of Bush torture prisons. There are 2000 more pictures like this, kept secret from us. http://worldobserveronline.com/2013/06/13/rape-iraqi-women-us-forces-weapon-war-photos-data-emerge/
This type of stuff hasn't exactly been kept secret. Tons of these types of photos have been out there for quite some time. And now, new reports are saying that the CIA was torturing people to near-death (with a doctor present to make sure the CIA didn't take it too far). http://news.msn.com/us/cia-tortured-suspects-to-the-point-of-death-report
Only the least incriminating pictures were released, and the photographer punished. The article says the worst 2000 pictures are secret, only because of the political impact they would have on Americans. When the military made Obama keep them secret early in his administration, it was in the news. But you say we've seen the pictures that all the articles say are secret, so the articles must be wrong.
It's kinda like the Ray Rice thing. The video didn't do much for me. The pics here don't do much for me. I mean, rape and sexual assault are what they are. I'm not expecting the pictures to be "friendly".
I'm sure they tried to do it in the least friendly, most painful way. They were trying to torture her. I don't know anything about fucking from the rear, so I don't know how to make it painful, but there must be ways. I guess, just jam it in there and it'll hurt a lot. Maybe she was religious, so it was a second kind of torture, too.
I have no doubt they were trying "to do it in the least friendly, most painful way." Again, that's why reviewing the pictures are unnecessary, and I personally don't care to view them or have them exposed in any sort of manner that exposes my children to them. The acts are beyond evil, regardless. Reprehensible. The pictures don't change my feelings. Guilty parties participating in the behavior need swift and sharp reprimand (and in some cases, some have been). I hope there's more punishment to come for the guilty parties.
I'm sure it did in some cases. But I haven't really seen anything that says anything definitive (and to be honest, I haven't spent my day google-ing it). When you've been tortured and water-boarded, did it work on you?
