I will for sure. I don't know that I can say I've ever been to a good Mexican restaurant. The best "Mexican" I've had is probably tacos from a stand in culver city called titos tacos. I do make delicious enchiladas though!
I mean the list is ok for the places I've been to. A few headscratchers in LA, and there are better places of course. Its impossible to try every place, but they happened to do a decent job I suppose.
I've been to Titos many times. I live about 4 miles away from there. I love it. Its not authentic mexican food, but its good shit. Many people don't like it the first few times they go, but it gets damned addicting. The crunchy tacos with the meat and that salsa is like crack.
Ashamed I didn't think of this. I'm friends with someone whose family owns this joint. This place is the bomb.
Only reason i go to cartlandia is the good evil wrap co. Shit is bomb, and they are huge Blazer fans. The rip city wrap is so good! Edit: The Philly cheese steak cart is average, but steakadelphia on Powell is better!
Here was my "lunch" at Las Cuatro Milpas yesterday. We went at 930 to try and get there in between the breakfast (menudo) and lunch crowds. The line being out the door doesn't mean much cause if you are behind one or two people, you're already outside. we barely had a wait, but when we left at 10, the line was 20 or 30 people deep. We got rolled tacos, Chorizo con Huevos (top left), Tamale with rice and beans and some tortillas. We also picked up a dozen more tortillas to go for something like 3 bucks. The only things on the menu we didn't get was the menudo and a burrito. The Chorizo, Tamales and tortillas are the things to get. I'd stand in line just to pick up a pack of tortillas.
Lupe’s Escape is pretty good also. Just a small place off TV Highway in Beaverton. Been there since the 70's. I just didn't see anyone else putting it down.
Went to Nuestra Cocina tonight, best Mexican food I've ever had. Had the pork gorditas and flan for desert. Their hand made tortillas are amazing.

If any of you in the Portland area are making a trip to Bend make a stop @ Mexico City in Madras. Their food and service is da bomb. Huge portions and reasonably priced. It's a family operation that I've frequented when possible for over 20 years. If you don't see what you want on the menu that just ask for it and either mom or dad will be in the kitchen to whip it up. The atmosphere is one of the best anywhere and I've eaten at most of the good ones in Tucson.
The best burrito in LA is probably some kind of fish burrito. The game isn't strong here because a good burrito will have all kinds of fake fucking orange cheese, guacamole, sour cream, charred ass carne asada wrapped in a FLOUR tortilla...that shit is just so gringo.
