Some other good defenders would be emeka Okafor,Dwight Howard, even Kobe is a good defender. He may not be the best defender but he's defiently a respectable defensive player.

gah! I always forget someone. ak deserves to be on the list. when healthy, his length can really be pestering. He gets into passing lanes and is a hell of a shotblocker.

Vince CarterLuke RidnourDan DickauMark BlountBaron DavisStephon MarburySteve FrancisEddy CurrySteve NashChris WebberWait a second... OK for real now. I never put any of these top 10 lists in order. It's hard enough to come up with 10 as it is. So, again, in no specific order:Bruce BowenBen WallaceRon ArtestKobe BryantAndrei KirilenkoJason KiddEmeka OkaforTim DuncanAdrian GriffinShawn MarionYes, I said it. Adrian Griffin. He is SOOOO underrated it's not even funny. He's a terrific defender.

Are we talking about man-to-man lockdown defenders or weakside defenders? I want to be specific here. I count real defense as in locking your man down, so here's my list (no order). Ron ArtestBruce BowenJason KiddKobe BryantAdrian GriffinTim DuncanRaja Bell Alonzo Mourning Luol DengTayshaun PrinceNot to be a homer, or anything but do you guys think DeShawn Stevenson would make top 25 man-to-man defenders? He's pretty good at defending the deadly pick and roll play. He also did a good job on LeBron on Saturday night. What do you guys think?

JO is not a top ten defender. Stop being a homer. It's getting old...

Pacers fan mentions a Pacer in every thread lol. JO is one of the best shot blockers in the league, and a pretty good low-post defender, but not top 10, IMO. At least he put someone you could try and make a case for.
