That is as odd an injury as I have seen in basketball. Slipped on the floor, injured thumb.

Oh my god that is gold...you know what gets me the most? Is when he stands around after these plays and there is that 3 seconds where it seems like his mind is in another world.

I could watch that all day for the lols! He just freezes! He doesn't even move for the inbound or even look at the ball, he's just like "wait wtf"

Plumlee has scored. The ultimate indignity for Lithuania.

Any actual US fans - is this a likeable team? I'm too biased, but I can't see it. Individually some of them are okay, I guess.

Anyone still want to say that international ball is "soft"?

Pulling for the name not the product on the floor.

I'm actually proud of this squad. I really thought after the Paul George injury, KD electing to not participate and with quys like Love and LA unwilling to particpate, the team was vulnerable. But this is a walk in the park for them. Didn't think it would be.

Lithuania valiantly trying to keep the margin under 30. They will fail.

I'm a big fan of Anthony Davis. Everything about him is right from a star standpoint. I especially like the fact he embraces his unibrow. I hope kids out there learn from him that being different in some way is not wrong.

Then you get I to the fact that he is a monster on the court.

I don't mind Kyrie either. I've also always wanted Cousins to achieve his potential. His career has been marred by the fact he's played for the kings.

It's amazing how far the rest of the world has come in terms of basketball, yet they are still so far away.

I see there are some Coach K pokes. But give him credit. He's probably a lil old now but maybe he should have been more open to the idea of coaching at the pro level.

Coach K and Colangelo worked out that USA has (a) athleticism and (b) depth over any other team in the world, so they just play relentless defense and non-stop running. A couple of teams in this tournament have been competitive for one half, but then get absolutely destroyed in the second half:

Getting Kryhoweveryouspellit as the coach was probably the key because he's prepared to get on grown men as if they were children and get them to work hard, not always a feature of previous US teams.

That's why there's literally zero chance that France could beat the US (at least without Tony Parker and Joakim Noah) whereas Spain, despite being incredibly more talented, can lose to the French, because they don't have that Blitzkrieg gear.

    Agreed.

No, his career has been marred by the fact that he's a dickweed.
