List yours here... I don't really want to make a list myself (maybe I will later) but make your own and people can comment on them I guess. Ok? Ok.Some I would include...Ron ArtestBruce BowenBen WallaceThose are some I think of when the word 'defender' pops up.. so yeah! Get it on!
Ron ArtestBruce BowenBen WallaceKobe BryantTim DuncanKevin GarnettJason KiddIt's hard to come up with ten. My list isn't in order.
Some other good defenders would be emeka Okafor,Dwight Howard, even Kobe is a good defender. He may not be the best defender but he's defiently a respectable defensive player.
It's way to hard to do a specific order or just pick the 10 best for that matter but 10 to seriously consider areRon ArtestBruce BowenGerald WallaceBen WallaceKobe BryantShawn MarionTim DuncanAlonzo MourningEmeka OkaforKevin Garnett
Damn I forgot all about Gerald Wallace and Marion, they are really good defenders and they are verstile.
bowen, artest, duncan, wallace, wallace, marion, kidd, okafor, maybe luol deng and/or andre iguodala.
Why has everyone forgotten Andrei Kirilenko?in no particular order:Ak47Big BenBowenArtestTD(very underrated defender)MarionWallaceKiddKobe

gah! I always forget someone. ak deserves to be on the list. when healthy, his length can really be pestering. He gets into passing lanes and is a hell of a shotblocker.
Vince CarterLuke RidnourDan DickauMark BlountBaron DavisStephon MarburySteve FrancisEddy CurrySteve NashChris WebberWait a second... OK for real now. I never put any of these top 10 lists in order. It's hard enough to come up with 10 as it is. So, again, in no specific order:Bruce BowenBen WallaceRon ArtestKobe BryantAndrei KirilenkoJason KiddEmeka OkaforTim DuncanAdrian GriffinShawn MarionYes, I said it. Adrian Griffin. He is SOOOO underrated it's not even funny. He's a terrific defender.
1- Bruce Bowen2- Ron Artest3- Ben Wallace4- Tim Duncan5- Shawn Marion6- Kevin Garnett7- Andrei Kirilenko8- Kobe Bryant9- Jason Kidd10- Tayshaun Prince
Here are the NBA's elite defenders...ranking them is simply a waste of time... Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, Ron Artest, Ben Wallace, Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant, Bruce Bowen, Andrei Kirilenko, Shawn Marion, Emeka Okafor, Andre Iguodala, Gerald Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, Marcus Camby, Lindsey Hunter, Luol Deng, Adrian Griffin.
Are we talking about man-to-man lockdown defenders or weakside defenders? I want to be specific here. I count real defense as in locking your man down, so here's my list (no order). Ron ArtestBruce BowenJason KiddKobe BryantAdrian GriffinTim DuncanRaja Bell Alonzo Mourning Luol DengTayshaun PrinceNot to be a homer, or anything but do you guys think DeShawn Stevenson would make top 25 man-to-man defenders? He's pretty good at defending the deadly pick and roll play. He also did a good job on LeBron on Saturday night. What do you guys think?

Pacers fan mentions a Pacer in every thread lol. JO is one of the best shot blockers in the league, and a pretty good low-post defender, but not top 10, IMO. At least he put someone you could try and make a case for.
3.5 bpg!And he isn't one of the best defenders? Please. Wait till you play us and then judge. Cause chances are, he will have 5 blocks.
