http://www.detroitnews.com/article/...ewton-were-white-he-d-apologize-Ndamukong-Suh Thought this was a decent article, written by a black journalist, pointing out the double standard in race issues. Not that I think what Cam said was wrong, and I think he acknowledges that as well, but just that, if it were a white player saying the same thing, they'd get in trouble for it.
That's stupid. Obviously he was mocking his name, not his race. People are much too busy seeking opportunities to be offended on someone else's behalf.
I agree he was mocking his name, and I think the author acknowledged that as well. But like he said, if Aaron Rodgers or another white player called a black player Donkey Kong, they'd probably catch hell for it. I just liked the double standard being pointed out is all.
total agreement the righteous indignation was too much by the time I read "We can not say what we could ten years ago" This mind set has to be corrected or we will censor our selves into muteness
Gotta find something to be offended about. Seriously, it's gotten to the point where people don't even read all the details, they just read the headline and immediately go into faux outrage. Our country sucks.
I'm offended that you thought I was talking about you, Maxi-Pad. There, now I'm offended, and I've mocked your name. Whachyou got now?!
This. He made a weak joke about the guy's name. There wasn't any animosity or racial anything involved. If anything, he pointed out that Suh is a player he respects.
