I thought the latest updates said that the chances were not very good anymore.

I spent a week on a house boat at Lake Simitustus in Canada several years ago and we saw the northern lights. It was amazing!!

The chance for seeing the northern lights Friday night in Oregon just got a big boost, says Oregon's resident planetary expert, Jim Todd, director of space science education for OMSI.
The index used to measure the possibility, the so-called KP index, soared to 8 at around 5 p.m.
"OK, auroras for Oregon tonight," Todd texted at 5:15 p.m.

Just went outside and I'm not seeing it. It could be because of the five 10 Barrel Brewing IPA's I've had so far tonight.

Look south to see the polar lights. It's a long trip for the light to get here over the equator.
