Why do liberal Americans want more and more and more rights too?

Okay, let me rephrase this, as you had struck a nerve and my response was over the top. Do you think you'd be in the position you're currently in at that company, had you been born to say Will Barton's neighbor growing up in Baltimore?

 

So let me get this straight. Because I was fortunate to grow up with parents that work hard to provide for their kids (going bankrupt twice in process)?

Or should I explain that our family didn't always have money. We had a family of 5 and lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in Clackamas after the first bankruptcy.

Then while I was in high school, we lived in the poor community in the Antelope Valley. My first car was a $300 Toyota pick-up.

I inherited a print shop that was in the red $5k every month. I worked 12 hour days, networking and building that business to earn $50k gross per month, from the previous $8k before that.

Also, I loaned my father money for the business that is successful now (200k). I didn't ask for a dime in return.

So don't go saying those without money can't be successful. And don't even think about trying to convince me that it's okay for big government to take my hard working money for a drug addicted fucked up welfare system of lazy pieces of shit

 

i know a guy who has 3 kids with his GF, but she says he doesnt live there so "they have no income", she gets her 3 bedroom apartment for $120 a month. they always have a fat bag of weed and a big screen tv and new fancy phones and an xbox one and beer and all the junk food you can imagine. and she gets 10k a year in tax refunds with the child tax credit.

i know another girl who has housing paid in full, 4 kids, her BF hurt his back and has a prescription for oxycontin. he doesnt do them, so he sells them for thousands of dollars a month, and they have 2 new cars, diamond watches, 20k in recording equipment, etc, etc. she gets 10k+ at tax time as well.

this happens exactly like this a million times.

there are also a million single moms working 3 minimum wage jobs with 2 kids, no frills, no cable tv, no smartphone, etc, and need food stamps and or housing to survive.

not sure how to fix it, but, as they say, dont hate the player, hate the game

 

In Communist countries, you are guaranteed a job. You get benefits only if truly handicapped.

The Western welfare system is a bandage over unemployment. Except for the truly disabled, when there's no unemployment in a country, there's no welfare system.

 

Welfare would work if there are restrictions like random drug testing. If you fail, then you get your kids taken away from you and sent to a mandatory drug rehab.

For those without jobs, have an active "mandatory" work temp service.

There are answers that can have a finality. Train trees lazy bastards to stop being so fucking lazy. Ones that actually want to get out, can if they have help.

How many are on welfare? It's gotta be in the millions. 12 out of 400. How many out of a million would test positive? Also, what demographic they use? An antidotal study is hardly something to put weight on.

Drive down the ghetto and you don't even need a study to see how many are on drugs

 

The drug addicts take so much and have children to get more for their fix. I don't like giving these losers the ability to bring kids into that type of world.
