...it was disappointing to see D-Rob spit the bit but you just know that if the HRs had not happened, Girardi probably would have pulled him after 2 out...and Jeter probably would have broken down...and so would I.
...so in hindsight, I'm happier the way it unfolded. It ended exactly the way it should have.

In a very strange way, it couldn't have been scripted better. I agree with you 59, I was getting ready to lose it as I watched the emotion of the moment go through his mind in the 8th. As Derek said in the interview afterwards, he was getting ready to break down and then the hit allowed for that one last electric moment. And unlike so much of the trash that populate professional rosters throughout America, he will play in Boston out of respect to baseball and the Soxs. Pure Greatness!

...as a lifelong fan it will probably be harder for me to follow this team with the same passion next year.

When Robertson blew that game I was so God Damn pi@@ed I couldn't see straight. Kuroda had pitched his butt off in probably his Yankee Game but Jeter came through to finish with a flourish.

Thanks Jeter for being my idol for the last 20 years. Yankee baseball will not be the same without you. I cried like a baby last night. You are the best and as a Yankee fan I feel privileged to have watched you play these last 20 years. Enjoy retirement you sure deserve it.

I think it has already said by others....and I believe it is the best way to remember the great Yankee Captain Derek Jeter.

You never regretted for a moment, rooting for Derek Jeter.

His career numbers and accomplishments both individually and team-wise kinda take a back seat to the MAN.

Yep, he's as PERFECT as they come. God Bless Derek Jeter.

Get this, 1 of My Sister's in Wichita, KS., finds all these Yankee Garb clothes in a flipping KS mall, and I can't find shit up here for sale to speak of...

Obviously she's not a Yankee fan neither, or she never would of sent me an A-Roid #13 Warm Up Jersey...now WTF am I to do with it, send it to the Goodwill? I'm sure there's an idiot, in town who would wear or buy it...!!!
