We are considering moving our companies to States that are less of a tax burden. There is absolutely no way I would live in Nevada or Texas because they suck! So our choice is either Miami, FL or Seattle Washington. Anyone live in Seattle?
used to. IIRC NateBishop does as well. Do you need to be in Seattle proper? Some of the counties have county-specific incentives for businesses...especially if you're hiring local talent.
Seattle WA is a fucking awesome city. That said, given the choice I would still live in Miami instead.
Stuff like this. This is from the SecState website: http://dor.wa.gov/docs/Pubs/Incentives/TaxIncentivesOverview_web.pdf and http://dor.wa.gov/Content/FindTaxesAndRates/TaxIncentives/IncentivePrograms.aspx
I hate the heat bro and especially humid heat. Everyone else but my mom, sister and I want to live miami.
oh yea if you want to reconsider Texas, Austin area is a fantastic city. I have tons of family in Midland, Houston, Dallas and Austin and my work sends me to Austin every now and then, so Ive spent a lot of time in that state. I hate Texas but love Austin, its like Texas's version of Portland.
You really cant go wrong with Seattle, but as someone suggested you might want to look into Vancouver WA, its a nice city and just across the river from Portland. Blazers are nice but no sales tax is better.
Love seattle but the traffic is gross. If I were you I'd take a look at being in WA right over the river from PDX, or somewhere at least 20 miles outside of seattle.
Bro I live in the LA area. There ain't nothing i haven't seen before. I would love to be close to portland, but being over the river would suck balls.
MIAMI IS COOL IF YOU CAN LIVE DOWNTOWN OR BRICKELL BUT VENTURE OUT PAST THE NICER AREAS AND ITS HELL ON EARTH. THE CUBANS WILL GET ANNOYING.
