Reminds me of the 1999-2000 Blazers, with Pau in the Pippen role.

How is Pau like Pippen? Pippen was 6 time champion two-way elite player All Star MVP one of the 50 best players of all time. And Portland was WCF team the year before. I don't see the comparison at all.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If Rose is fully healthy all season, the Bulls will be excellent and potentially the best team in the East. If Rose is injured again or is diminished from his prior injuries, then the Bulls will be merely a good team.

Really? I'd easily take the LeBron/Kyrie/Love-led Cavs over the Bulls healthy or not.

What's a fully healthy rose anymore? Wasn't he fully healthy for FIBA? He isn't an elite player anymore. He has to prove himself again.

Pau's an old grizzled multiple champion who is looking for a last shot. And they both look like farm animals.

@SpearsNBAYahoo: Kobe Bryant has nailed two turnaround jumpers already. Looks like his old self from perimeter.

Kobe should have no problem hitting open shots but I dont think he will be able to create for himself anywhere near the level we have seen in the past.

@MarkG_Medina: Lakers doing sprints, which Kobe and Nash are missing. As expected
