The Grizzlies might be the worse team in the league, but they have incredible will. In the first game of the NBA season, rookies Kyle Lowry and Rudy Gay along with second year player Hakim Warrick lead the star-less Grizzlies into 3-0T against the NY Knicks. This would only be a preview for the upcoming NBA season for the Grizzlies.<ul>[*]NY Knicks- lost by 1 point[*]Pistons- lost by 9 points[*]Rockets- lost by 6 points[*]Suns- lost by 9 points[*]Lakers- lost by 10 points[*]Kings- lost by 4 points[*]Mavs- lost by 12 points[*]Mavs- lost by 5 points[*]Cavs- lost by 3 points[/list]The reason I list this, is to show how hard the Grizzlies are fighting. Only two wins on the season, but those werent the only two games our players put tremendous effort into the game. From coming back from 19 point deficits in the 4th, to our young rookies fighting through sprained ankles to simply rebound the ball for a losing cause. So when Pau Gasol comes back into his game and the Grizzlies are set to make a run, watch out, cause unlike past years, the Grizzlies will have talent, experience AND toughness. *I just wanted to show people how close we have come to winning games and the fact we havent been blowned out, cause we are going to be scary when Gasol is 100% healthy.

This just shows that the Grizzlies aren't giving up even if their star player Gasol is out and other vets are gone - Eddie Jones is out with an injury, Lorenzen Wright and Bobby Jackson have moved on. They've got a lot of young guys in Rudy Gay, Kyle Lowry, Hakim Warrick and all those other guys and youth means mistakes yet they don't go down without a major fight and they get to have victories too. This is telling that when they get Gasol and Jones back they'll be able to get a lot more wins just because of their attitude towards the game. This is why I sure hope coach Fratello, in my mind, shouldn't and doesn't deserve to get fired. It's not his fault his star went down. The Griz are playing very well given the current situation.
