    I had this procedure done for a bone lesion last year after they had tried a microfracture type procedure 16 years ago that did nothing....although I needed a donor piece since it was too large to take from my own knee. So far so good...for a non pro athlete with a desk job!

    Microfracture isn't what ended Odens career. I'm sure if someone who needed 3 of them, plus a blown kneecap, would've found another way to end his career prematurely.

    Sounds like it didn't help. I've always had a sneaking suspicion it wasn't the very best long term route to go. Glad we can finally (hopefully) move past them.
