#1) Resign both Brandon McCarthy & Chase Headley
#2) Sign a LH starting pitcher (John Lester)
#3) Sign a solid SS (Asdrubal Cabrera) or (Jed Lowrie)
#4) Find someone to work with Gardner on his base running
#5) Find someone to accidentally on purpose step on Teixeira's hand (preferably with cleets) & sign a 1st baseman.

Feel free to add on..............this could be interesting.

    - How about drafting another CORE group of players?
    - Gardner's past instructional assistance. lol
    - As for Tex, I can only hope he injures himself and finishes
his career on the disabled list.
    - A new GM

Only a 1 year deal for McCarthy IMO.... Lester is going to cost WAY too much & I think he's overrated... And I agree with caged.... New GM & all else he said

Unless Hal comes to hits senses (not likely) he is about to sign moron cashman to another 3 year contract. Cashman, known for giving out overpriced contracts to players past their primes, totally destroying a farm system with his lack of any player development and then filling spots all year long as his veteran signings go one after the other on the DL with castoffs from every other teams misfit list. The only logical reason for Cashman's resigning is Hal is officially BRAINDEAD. Nothing else makes sense as to how this man can be resigned as the yankee gm again.

    #1. Fire Cashman
#2. Find a way to keep A-hole off the team
#3. Resign McCarthy at a reasonable salary and time length, avoid the "big three"
#4. Hope Texeria fail a drug test and gets suspended.
#5. Give some of those kids in the farm system a chance to play

I like & agree with 5. And unfortunately I think Cashman on the verge of signing a new 3 year contract. How this asshole is not on a year to year contract with all the bullshit is anyone's guess.

...Lester is one of the top LHed pitchers in the game and I doubt he'll cost any more than Scherzer or Shields.

I agree Ron & I don't think anyone is going to cost as much as Scherzer as I think he'll be looking for something around $25M per. He's good but he's not Kershaw good.

...if we had a reason to believe that CC would ever return to being dominant again it would be different but CC being CC again is wishful thinking...and the dimensions of YS (RF) dictate the need for solid LHed pitching.
...I'd love for them to pick up any of the above mentioned FAs but I think Lester should be considered first....and if CC can somehow return to normalcy (I don't think he can) it would be gravy, and a LHed combo of Lester and CC would carry a lot of weight.

One of my considerations for not signing one of the "Big Three" would be the salary add on to what they are already paying CC & Tanaka. One thing I forgot about is the money that id DFR with the loss of Jeter, Ichiro, and damn I almost forgot Kuroda. If they did go after one of the Big Three though it should be Lester but I'd be willing to bet that old Theo up in Chicago is high on the waiting list. I myself have little faith in CC but the remainder of the staff looks good IF Tanaka & Nova return healthy.

I've also lost faith in CC at this point but I do have high hopes on the rest of the staff being Tanaka, Nova, Pineda & Greene.

CC could be the difference maker. He knows how to pitch - doesn't need a mid90s fastball to be effective because he DOES have a good curve/slider and changeup. If he's healthy, he could/should be the lefty starter they need.

I'd like to see them give that Refsnyder kid every chance to win a spot 2b/rf and maybe Pirela.
Asdrubal Cabrera is the best free agent SS --cost, production AND age.

They should also have a nasty lefty for the bullpen to douse the fires vs dangerous opposing LH batters in big situations (6th inning on...) You know the type - good sharp breaking ball and a good enough fastball.

I also want to see this kid Refsnyder get a shot but remember we have Prado at 2B so don't hold your breath. Especially if Beltran is healthy enough to be back in right.

    1- Shit can Cashman

2- Obtain not 1 but 2 southpaws, (not sure who during This offseason, most Lefties I'd like to see are not available, ie, Kershaw, G. Gonzo, ....I'd pick up Lester sure, we need IMO 3 LH SP's...
(I've never forgotten the trouble the Halos gave the Yanx with the SP's: Langston/Finley/Abbot, (exactly what the Yanx need, 3 LH SP's).....and I'm not sure if Sabathia will ever return to form, and I'd not wait around to find out...!

3-Hang onto Headley, Prado, McCarthy, but keep the payroll down....

4- Hire Le Cosa Nostra to OFF #13 A-fkn roid...

5- Obtain Tulo, I sure as hell don't know how, yet something tells me he'd like to be a Yankee, on a winning Yanx team at that.....so Cash-Hole has a ton of work to do over his bald f'kn head....

If Tulo cannot be had, then do as much as possible to give him a facelift, fake his death, and get him on the payroll asap....if that much can't be done, do whatever it takes within reason, to obtain Andrelton Simmons.....( I doubt that move will ever happen tho'.....I'm grasping cuz I got a bad feeling Hanley "the fuckoff" Ramirez is in the sights of Cash-shit-head-Man.....The last guy we need is Ramirez. Hanley could carry a team at times for weeks at at pop, but he's too injury prone, and this year alone, Ramirez was the laziest fk off in MLB....
6- Assassinate Cashman and let Him and Alex go feed with de fishy's....

7- Let some of our Farm Club play, I got a feeling we have more talent in our Farm Club than Baseball Prospectus is letting on, just my op..!

8- Not sure I ever want to see Tex swat at flies at the plate, ever again. I gotta think this one thru, as well as the other 1-7 statements. Not sure who to even look at for 1st base, in other words, I got to take a long deep look at those not just Free Agents, but who may be available via trades, or otherwise, (what otherwise is, I don't have a flipping idea or clue.....

    On Hanley Ramirez....:

Only a month ago, Ramirez swung at strike 3, and it got past the Catcher.....what did Ramirez do, he turned around and WALKED BACK TO THE DUG OUT, without so much as an intention to run to 1st base.....

That day, the local sports show was talking to fans, who were at that game: One guy said, I pay $8 buck for a Dodger Dog, and Ramirez can't run out a passed ball, WTF-!!! I wan't my Money Back....!

I've never seen one player fk off so much in 1 year alone, who took my faith in Him, and shit all over it, and all Bums fans....

I don' care for any of those FA short stops , especially Ramirez, one spoiled little guppy. Totus posted and I agree that maybe the Yankees could acquire one of those SS kids the Cubs have. I'm also think the Yankees were talking about Tulo but wonder if he'd be a risky venture.
