Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Kidd, maybe Tracy McGradythose are all I can think of for now..add some to the list that deserve to get rings because of how talented they are but never seem to have a team that has what it takes to win a ring..not like Lebron James or someone who just joined the league..I mean somebody who has been in the league for like 8+ years
Kevin Garnett I wouldn't really say deserves one, don't know about McGrady either but Kidd, Iverson, Pierce...yeah I think they do but I doubt any of them will get one. McGrady and Kidd have the best shot at getting theirs though.Mike Bibby and Chris Webber are two more I can think of (probably becaused I'm biased towards them).
Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, TMac, and Paul Pierce stand out in my mind. All have been great NBA players, and all have a good shot at making the HOF. They just havnt had great teams to work with, and don't have rings. It's not their fault..
Allen Iverson. The man has done everything he can to get the Sixers to the promised land the past 10 years. Damn straight he deserves a ring....in Philly. :winkglasses:
Jason Kidd. Slowly you hear less and less about Jason Kidd season after season. 12 years and no ring. He's is one of the most purest players in the league. Saying he can do about anything. Everything from being great with the ball to defense. Sucks to see Kidd stuck behind stars like Lebron, ect nowadays
I don't think anyone 'deserves' a championship. Thats something you earn, I don't care how good of a player you are. You don't deserve a championship.

Not all players can win a championship in there career. Its just how things are. It is something that should be very hard to get and that is what it is. If all noticable NBA stars got a ring, things would be way too different in the league. And in the first place, it could never happen. The talent pool would be way too weird. I think that the only players that deserve to win championships, are the people who actually win them.

Tracy McGrady</div>Yup. You playaofthegame and had my list perfectly. Garnett, AI, and Kidd are Hall of Famers without question. They are just GREAT players. Iverson, IMO, is the best player ever 6'0'' and under. Garnett is arguably the most talented PF to ever play. Jason Kidd is easily a top 10 PG of all time. Those guys deserve one the most.Pierce has almost been there. He was 2 games away from getting there in 2002, too bad that didn't work out (you guys have NO idea how crazy I was going during the 02 playoffs). He might get into the HOF if he keeps his play up for a few more years, but a title sure would seal the deal. A healthy T-Mac is a top 5 player in the NBA. He has all the gifts in the world, he's a smart player, he's clutch. Everything. I would love to see him get out of the first round first though. But he's a great player. But if any 3 active players deserve it, it has to be Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, and Jason Kidd. I'm incredibly happy Gary Payton and Alonzo Mourning got it last year.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I don't think anyone 'deserves' a championship. It's guys like that I have to throw my heart out to as well, because of how bad they want to win. They are so loyal to their organizations (KG and Iverson) that they don't want to go "ring-chasing." They want to win in their respected city more than anything, and it just kills me that their organizations have done absolutely nothing to help their player out by going out and taking a risk to get a better supporting cast around them. It's to the point where they won't even be playoff teams this year, and that pisses me off quite frankly, because I know it's because management isn't even trying to make things happen. So in that respect, I do think they "deserve" it.
I think TMac needs to get out of the first round before he 'deserves' a championship.but I like the rest of the list. pierce, garnett, kidd, iverson.
Ok you guys are just now naming guys who are good with out a ring. Kinda ridiculous. Kinda relates to what BCB said

Winning a championship without teammates is like winning a major political election without money and connections. Ain't gonna happen. I'm not sure if any player in NBA history could have won a championship with the people iverson has been surrounded with, and he continues to sit there complacently, trying as hard as anybody in the league, and not demanding a trade. That guy deserves a ring a lot more than toine, who had been an ***hole and a ballhog his whole career and then lucked out and was able to ride the wade train all the way.

Let's take Wayne Simien, a first-year player who played in 43 games averaged 2 points and 2 boards in 9 minutes of play for the Miami Heat last season. He's a rookie who just happened to be on a great basketball team. Did he "earn" that championship ring he now has? And you take a guy like Jason Kidd who has played 15 season in the NBA, been to the NBA finals before, played in 88 playoff games, and is a 7-time all-star who doesn't have a ring. When you say a championship is something you "earn" it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense when you have random ass bench players who don't do jack all season that get the ring. On the other hand you have all-star calibar veteran talents who get placed on bad teams but play their ass off 24/7 the entire season.
I don't think JO has really done anything to credible to defiently deserve to win a championship yet, I mean he has done great things so far in his career and all but I just don't think he deserves it yet.
Well you guys think that if Richard Hamilton, Chauncy Billups, Ben Wallace, or Rasheed Wallace never won a championship, that we would be saying that they deserve one in the same sentence as Allen Iverson and Kevin Garnett? Probably not, but I dont think u could say that they didnt earn it either

They have both worked very hard and have been in the league for a long time. They have been so close, making it to the finals but not getting the reward. Those two are who I would like see get a ring.
