Kansas City up after 4, punk CJ Wilson got his butt kicked and sent to the showers with his Head and Shoulders in tow. Maybe he and Junkie Josh can share the shampoo as they commiserate in a joint post game shower. If this series ends in a sweep it would be a comparable to a California quake. Looks like the hope of a SoCal series may end tonight.

Yeah I was hoping for the same thing. The Giants needed another shot at the Angels after blowing the last world series.

I'm not surprised the Halo's SP staff choked.....

I haven't seen Weaver throw a fastball over 89 mph in several months now. Their supposed Ace.....!

I expected the O's to clean house with the garbage laden Tigers....they've basically had Verlander as a non-effective SP, Porcello choked, Sanchez lazy ass who should had his ass kicked by his own team mates, for his lack of motivation. Perhaps Sanchez, did not want to be the scape goat?

Miggy has consistently played great one game, then looked like shit the next 2, most of the year, a pitiful excuse of a playoff team....Go Buck....!

KC made the Halo's look like kids in a man's sport....sad to see, chokers....!

The O's and KC should make for a Helluva ALCS.....Go Buck.....

I know the Bums choked big time with the Card's. Honestly most Angelino's did not expect as much, cuz the majority of Bums Season ticket holders, are the fair weather type, who get to the park by the 2nd inning, get their Dodger Dog's and Beer, then go home in the 6th inning.

I for one am not surprised seeing Kershaw look masterful in the 1st 6 innings, then imploded thereafter. After all what most Angelino fans do not seem to recall, IS: Kershaw's ERA vs. St. Louis in the last 2 years is close to 4.00 approximately....The Cards are the 1 team that have His number.....can the Bums win the NLDS without Kershaw, I really doubt it. I was hoping for a Showalter-Mattingly World Series....incl. a Bums/Giants NLCS, as those have been one great rivalry on the West Coast.
Yet not as great a rivalry as the Yanx and Bosox....tho' I'd say a great 2nd to the aforementioned. Going way back in history, Thompson's 'Shot Heard Around the World', or the Brookyln/NY Giants fan fare rivalries, to Marichal busting Roseboro's catching helmet, which was nothing then a safe helmet as they are now, (For catcher, ie,).....!

Three former Cy Young winners, a man twice awarded the MVP, plus a triple crown winner, and a man who is in the conversation for MVP this year and they still got their a@@es kicked.

What may be an additional shocker is if the Giants finish a sweep on Washington. Bumgarner and Fister should be an excellent match this series has been the best played thus far. Fister is one guy I wanted to see the Yankees go after when the Mariners were willing to trade him in '10. Could not believe it when Detroit let him go.

I'm hoping Bumgarner can do today what he did to the Pirates last week.

Watching MLB this AM and continue to hear Yallof & Ripken crowing about all the pieces that the Orioles are missing and how we fans did not know who the "other" players were. Hate to tell those two clowns that fans are not stupid, we watch the games and know the players. This season the Orioles covered the what ifs pretty well. Now how about the Giants, in addition to missing Cain, Pagan, and having their rotation in less than favorable setting for this series no word. Going to be interesting out there in San Francisco tonight.

I'd damn near bet the house, that Bumgarner shuts down the Nats. I'd not be surprised if Madison does not give up a single run......break out the brooms....!!!

If anyone can do it its him but I keep thinking about what happened to Kershaw in game one of his series.

    ________________________________________________

Leyland had a horrible ALCS last year. He personally gift wrapped a couple of games for Boston by taking out Scherzer ..once when he was working on a 7 inn 2 hitter w/13 Ks.....two or three relief pitchers later--Ortiz hit the grand slam which erased a big Detroit lead and turned the game and the series around sending the Redsox to the WS.

He screwed Scherzer (and the Tigers) twice in that series if I recall correctly by relying on that sh!t bullpen instead of going a few more pitches with Scherzer.

It was time for Jimmy to retire.

Good game but the Giants got the wrong end of the stick today. I'd say if they want this series they'd best win tomorrow, if they go back to Washington they may be in trouble.

He sure didn't gift wrap any games for the Yankees in '06, 11, or 12.

I have no idea what Ausmus did to warrant getting that job. From what I've seen of his managerial skills he's WAY over his head.

I've been expecting a "Paradigm Shift" out of young Manager's like Ausmus, and just have not seen it....

the next generation of young Manager's, need to bring a mentality to think outside the box....but I don't see it happening with Ausmus.....altho' we did see as much (a paradigm shift) with Torre, the old timer who changed the game, to a 6 inning affair. Torre utilized his own strategy to get into opposing teams bullpens, as much as he wanted opposing teams to have to face his lights out Bullpen....God Bless MO'....!!! Joe, damn near ended the era of Complete Game Pitchers. I love CG SP's....damn it....!!!
