A 26 year old who just lived through the polar vortex thi winter and don't ever want to see snow again.
Terrible weekend. I spent it all at the house in a Yachats. Mid-70's and no clouds in site all weekend. I hated it. The fresh crab sucked too.
Are you a winter sports person? Because I can attest (Since I snowboard average of 3 days a week once the season starts) that the weather initially wasn't good, but it did get quite a bit better as the season went on and we even had some late pow-dumps. The weekend pow dumps weren't really there last winter, but the mid-weeks went off. It's been pretty consistent in terms of snowfall since I've been riding since 1999. Now there has been a couple of crazy years where it was bad, but overall, I'd wager to say that mid to late winter Meadows has been rocking a 140inch base the last 15 years.
You know that is an old Hungarian saying that mean almost the opposite of what it means here today. It basically means good luck, similar to how we might say "break a leg".
Nah, that's my dad's place. We bought a place in Yachats about 18 months ago. I love PC, but the influx of Californians has made that place too busy. Oregonians finally discovered it, too. Sadly. I will always love it, but I only go about once per year now that we have a pad of our own. Yachats is a happening place with good food, great beaches, and it ain't crowded.
My perfect day........75 partly cloudy. Which is exactly why I love September and October here in the PDX!
