+ 1. Seriously, this place has ruined all other burgers for me.

I dropped a 20, and I missed it. I'm not as cool as Kid Sensation.

Gruner and VQ both have bomb burgers.

GQ has even mentioned Gruner's burger.

See, my Veritable Quandry with eating burgers in PDX is that there are certain things that Portland does so much better, and I just don't think burgers are one of them. I have a limited number of meals when I'm there so I need to optimize where I go.

With LA probably being the best place in the country to get a burger, its hard for me to want to try Portland's offerings.

I'll perhaps try the Gruner burger thanksgiving time.

Unless they changed radically in the last 3 years or so, I would consider this place for the cute interior over the quality of the food. It is just a grease pit imho, Helvetia Tavern makes (made at least) much better burgers.

I used to love stanich's, but I got really bad food poisoning from them and could never eat there again.
