Blake Shelton has landed his second number one album with Bringing Back the Sunshine, fending off competition from country rivals Lady Antellbum to take the top spot. The Voice coach shifted a whopping 101,000 copies of his latest release marking just the third country album to top the Billboard Top 200 this year following Eric Church’s The Outsiders and Shelton’s wife, Miranda Lambert’s Platimun. Lady Antellbum arrive at number two with their new LP 747 which sold 74,000 copies last week, marking the first time that two country albums have held the top two slots on the tally in four years. However, both albums sold just half of their 2013 predecessors. Shelton’s Based on a True Story debuted at number three with sales of 199,000 last year while Antellbum’s Golden flogged 167,000 to enter at number two. Barbra Streisand holds tight at number three with her record breaking album Partners; a collaboration of duets with stars including Michael Buble, Josh Groban and this week’s number one Blake Shelton.
