A-hole should never be able to put on a Yankee Uniform ever.

This is actually quite funny. Tex is so reliable and dependable that they need aroid to learn 1B.

I cannot root for my Yankees with that lying egomaniac on the team.
The IMAGE OF NYY will be scorned, worse than ever, across America.
Alex Rodriguez does not belong on the Yankees.

I agree but unfortunately he'll be in the lineup come April & the sad part is the first time he drives in the tying run or hits a game winning home run the fans will be asking for a curtain call.

...I wouldn't bank on ARod contributing at all...also wouldn't bank on him playing in pinstripes again.

...and if he can't play 3B he also probably can't play 1B...even as bad as Tex was this year, considering offense and defense, no way ARod is a better option...besides, what would they do with Tex in the meantime?...let him sit on the bench?...given the choice, I'd rather see ARod on the bench.

...Cashman's comments should tell you all you need to know as far as who should have been fired and/or rehired.

At this point I'm hoping they just resign Headley & come spring training A-Rod can't even crack the Mendoza line & is released.

As of now its obvious Cashman's comments have been vetted by counsel. He's saying all the correct things from a legal perspective. The last thing we need is to put the MLBPA in a position to have to defend this scumbag.

...I think he's already burned what little bridge he once had with the MLBPA, especially after suing them last year. Oh, they may posture and give the impression that they'll back him (because they're legally bound to)...but it doesn't mean they'll go out of their way or try very hard to do it.

Right. Everyone has to tap dance around and essentially wait for him to fail or screw up big time.

Honestly I think everyone is really just hoping he's a bust right out of spring training.

A-Roid is not worthy of wearing Yankee Pinstripes period. He's disgraced the game, and Yanx even moreso, NTM-he's more than screwed over many A Yanx Fan.....

#13 will not put up the numbers noted, and if he did, I'd say A-Roid would be a failure with those numbers...the ex-MVP my ass....

With no juice, Alex will fall on his face, and trip over his tongue. Outside low hard breaking ball, and Alex is golfing in the dirt, AGAIN.....

A lesson in Futility, noting more, nothing less. Besides, what about #13, with a <.780 Fielding percentage, before Joe inserts Alex in the DH role....

I'm not a Keith Olberman fan but one thing that guy said struck a chord with me and shamefully it is true. Fans say they want a clean game so when these clowns get caught and suspended every one says yeah you got what you deserved I don't want you on my team. Individuals we've seen like Cruz and Peralta get deals and whack the cover off the ball and the stupid fans go yeah that's our boy. In light of the keep/trash 'em survey on Yankee players it's pretty much divided on A-hole. I don't want to see him back, and hope he can't hit a bull in the a@@ with a snow shovel. In stead of the "he's my brother and made a mistake his team mates should think we forgave you once and you dumped on us again we tolerate your presence but hope you step on your tally whacker one more time an are gone.

...the problem I have with ARod is not only the fact that he's a cheat like Cruz, Peralta, et al...but instead, the fact that he's such a liar and a completely polarizing individual.

...playing in NY is tough enough and the team as it is currently constructed, has it's own problems...but even if some of the question marks miraculously fixed themselves or are addressed through trades or FAs, they don't need the added distraction of ARod.

40 years old, 2 bad hips & no baseball in over a year I don't think we have anything to worry about. The Yankees should just resign Headley while they have the chance.
