He was our team's leading scorer at that point, but only scoring 16 ppg. That is way less than what he is capable of doing. When he got to NJ, that average shot up to 27.5. And dont use the better pg excuse please. Vince had the ball in his hands every possession in Toronto, and he still couldnt get the job done.He was shooting jumpers all the time instead of attacking the hole. He was shooting a mere 41% because of that..And in an interview later on, he admitted that he wasnt trying hard in his later years with Toronto. Please dont try to feed me that bullsh**.</div>Dude I know about the NBA. I have a broad knowledge of the league. I know about the Raptors, I know about the Rockets, I know about every team. You can try to question my knowledge, but I'll end up proving you wrong.... He wasn't trying hard, that's what he said. He was still trying, but he realized that he wasn't going to get anywhere with the lack of talent Toronto had to offer. Antonio Davis and Morris Peterson were the other two main options for Toronto back in 2001. Honestly, the man did not have the talent they needed to prevail. And I think I will use the PG excuse. Perhaps if the Raptors had a trustworthy point guard who VC could rely on....think about it.Obviously he sucked at defense, as did most of the rest of the team, so that is a reason they didn't get the job done.
To me it was watching Tmac drop 13 points in 35 seconds. That was just incrdible. Most players in teh NBA do not even average that, but Tmac took the game into his hands and scored 13 in 35.
From 2000-2006istons over Lakers in 2004 Finals-Kobe scoring 81 points (still un-f*cking-believable)-The Suns vs. Lakers/Clippers Playoff Series' last year-Boston making it to the ECF a few years back-Clippers making the Playoffs for the first time in ages last year-Dwyane Wade's performance in the entire post-season last year

Exactly, he wasnt trying hard. Why the hell should we keep a star player who is not giving effort in games? Again..he was taking jumpers all the time, and not making an effort to get to the rim. He was being a bi*ch to the media also, and it was obvious that he wanted out, and that we needed him out. We're talking about 2004/05, not 2001. I dont care about those teams. Im talking about the year that Vince played like he had a vagina, and didnt try whatsoever. Im not talking about our success in the early 21st century, Im talking about the 2004 year where he gave a minimal effort. Again, you are cutting around the lines..

First off, he was the teams best player before 2004. Secondly, nobody thought he was better than Kidd or Nash, let alone Magic or Isiah. You took that way out of proportion. But that 2004 title was pretty awesome and kickass.
Watching Paul Pierce progress as a player has been so much fun. Too bad they never surrounded him with enough talent for him to do anything.
