And “Ronan Farrow Daily,” the network’s heavily promoted new afternoon show, which stars a 26-year-old Rhodes Scholar with a high-profile Hollywood lineage, has been largely a dud. Though it has mostly happened quietly, which may be a comment on the cable network’s larger status in the media landscape, MSNBC has seen its ratings hit one of the deepest skids in its history, with the recently completed third quarter of 2014 generating some record lows.

I've honestly not watched Fox in months or much MSNBC. If I'm up early, sometimes Morning Joe, but most of the time C-SPAN or Al Jazeera. No shit.
That Ronan kid is freaky looking. Honestly, I haven't watched MSNBC in well over 3 years. Actually, it's probably closer to 2008/09ish. Their choice in presenters has been pretty sorry, but it's not like the guys on Fox or CNN are really any different. I can't say I care about ratings anymore, doesn't change how I think things are in the world.

They made a conscious choice to go progressive in their programming. They got rid of almost all of their actual news people - you know, the ones who go out in the real world and report on stories from various locations. Microsoft also invested at least a half $billion into the joint venture. MSNBC sought to (and did) split from Microsoft because they felt Microsoft was holding them back from going full blown left-wing programming. This is the result. Speaks for itself.
Not just lost ground against CNN, they're getting their worst ratings ever. Terrible ratings. Makes me wonder how they stay in business.
I like to watch that Maddow chick now and then. She is so frigging far left, it like a comedy. She can thank the Woodrow Wilson School for making her a comedian.
