I see you didn't care to comment or respond regarding THE RESULTS of the collective batting numberss for 2014. Never mind....let the viewers take note. lol
You also conveniently forgot to address and/or cite any Yankee batters (2014) who have credited Long for their success i.e.- turning their seasons around. lol

Finally - for the UMPTEENTH time...according to your logic and thought process...and I am discussing Long--
"Point to an instance of firing the batting coach and the 1B coach has turned a team around."

.....in that case NO BATTING COACH SHOULD EVER GET FIRED!

You DOPE! Go talk to Matt..I think he's more sympathetic. lmaooooooo

Get the hell outta here--- are you sure you understand the English language? Dope!

    ...it's official...you're a fucking idiot.

...I see your logic...talent doesn't turn teams around, batting coaches and 1B coaches do. ...derp.

So...when should coaches and MGRS be fired?

No wait....when should ownership decide when to MAKE A CHANGE?

Don't spar with me......just agree to disagree. Fair enough?

...sparring with you is never a challenge.

...when did anyone EVER say that coaches/managers should never be fired?...that's not the point, and it never was. If you cannot keep up, don't bother responding.

...the point is/was that simply firing a couple of insignificant coaches is not going to put this franchise over the top...but I'll ask once more; "Point to an instance of firing the batting coach and the 1B coach has turned a team around."

    ...let me put this in simpler terms so that maybe even a mental deficient such as yourself can understand; Which would have a bigger impact on this team and its future going forward;

1...Replacing the 1B coach and hitting coach?
    2...Replacing the GM?

    My answer is N/A

I commented on Long's dismissal....I never mentioned anything about a bigger impact on this team.
Yanks chose to make a change with their hitting coach and sacrificed the 1b coach along the way. I don't fault them for replacing Long. I agree with it.

Do you need a different language? Having trouble?

You are turning it into the Spanish Inquisition.

I'm done here...this is getting boring.

...I was right, you're a total blithering idiot...simple fucking question which goes to the root of the discussion, but you can't/won't answer it...for obvious reasons.

...and yes, you are "done here" and you have been since the beginning...but I doubt it's getting boring for you...embarrassing perhaps, but not boring.

How about fitting Rick Down in 1995 and hiring Chris Chambliss from 1996 to 2000.....best Yankees offense since Murder's row.

...so like blg, you believe the team's offense is the result of the batting coach and not the talent?

...if batting coaches were truly that critical, teams would be lining up every off season to sign them to huge contracts.

    ...lemme know when that happens.

^^^then exactly what is your argument?...do you even have one?

...and who's playing word games?...instead of making unsubstantiated generalized blanket statements, why not actually quote these supposed word games?...simple, you have nothing to back it up with.

    lol, I have no argument.
YOU were the one who had a problem with the Yanks dumping Long AND Kelleher instead of Cashman. Maybe you should take it up with Hal.
I happen to agree with, and have NO PROBLEM with the Yanks dumping Long.

Think it over. Maybe you can come up with a few more questions for me. lol

A coach can communicate to a student and give advice and insight towards making continuous improvements, untapping potential. Sure the team needs talent, but that talent needs to be properly handled. Obviously Long had lost his impact on the team.

Its no different than say golf. Tiger has got amazing talent, but he's only had one excellent swing doctor since his dad.

I'm perplexed why you of all people don't get this. This move to fire long has nothing to do with expecting the offense to improve. Its about forcing the players to deal with a new coach that is going to analyze their batting habits. Its like getting a new supervisor at work, someone hired from the outside....you have to start all over again from the beginning. And in baseball, small improvements like a hit/week make a big difference....like Pasta playing in the show vs. Posting the Pasta show.
