Re: NBA.Com's Power Rankings Regardless of who has the better record, I still think San Antonio is a better team than Utah.
Re: NBA.Com's Power Rankings Mavs really stepped it up lately, this might be a trend for them now...Lakers at 6, I'm happy.

I expect them to drop back soon.
Re: NBA.Com's Power Rankings This is the one time that I wont complain about us being 29th. We've deserved it. Our offense is inconsistent, and our defense is freaking terrible. Also, seriously, we need to invest in a new coach. Sam Mitchell is garbage.
Re: NBA.Com's Power Rankings Cavaliers at number three, nice. I agree with BALLA, the Spurs, I think, are better than the Jazz.

The Magic do not have any injury concerns right now, and are looking to be a strong team. The Rockets are looking strong also, but at this point in time they have lost Snyder for two months which hurts their bench, and means Mcgrady will have to be in at the 2 spot for alot longer amounts of time. With Bonzi Wells hurt, and Snyder hurt, I think this team is lacking any solid depth, and will have to rely on their first five and maybe 3 subs, one of which is an older more tired Mutumbo. So I really think at this point in time the Orlando Magic are the team with better depth, and deserve to be ahead of the Rockets.

With or without Snyder, T-Mac was going to play around 35-40MPG anyway. They just got Hayes back tonight, so that concern is done with. The only other injury they are dealing with is Bonzi wells, I believe he is ok but they just want him in shape (he played 2-3 games so far this season). The Rockets 2 best players are more dangerous and consistent threats than the Magic's best player, Dwight Howard. I believe Rockets have a better team, and T-Mac/Yao is a huge reason for that. Lastly, Rockets have destroyed the 2 teams that were in the Finals last year, Memphis, Bulls, Bucks, Knicks twice, and looks like Wizards tonight (not to mention Rockets SHOULD have beaten SA since they led by 20pts at one point, and NO in which they also collapsed late). Magic have beaten Bulls, Wizards, Bobcats, Denver, Boston, Minnesota, Seattle, and Pacers. I'd say Rockets are definately more proven against very good teams, while Magic aren't. Rockets deserve to be higher IMO.

The Knicks put a 24 point thumping on the Heat, so that should show how good of a team they are at this point in the season. If we go by should have won, the Magic should have beaten Indiana twice, considering they had the lead for a majority of that game against the Pacers the first game. Tracy Mcgrady hasn't really been that consistent yet this season. He has had a couple of big games, and a couple of not good games. I think the Rockets depend to much on just two players, while the Magic do not depend on Dwigh Howard to do all the scoring. I think the Magic have a much more balanced team, and any night someone on that team can step up and carry the scoring load.

Yes, Mavs were struggling, but getting beat by well over 20pts with a struggling T-Mac? I consider both pretty impressive, and more impressive than wins over Charolette, Boston, Denver or Seattle.Ok, BIG difference here- Rockets were up by 20 in 3rd quarter, while biggest lead Magic ever had in 2nd half was 5.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Tracy Mcgrady hasn't really been that consistent yet this season. In games Yao hasn't played great he has stepped it up a bit scoring wise, and he is already starting to break out of his slump. By end of season he will be more agressive, looking to score more, just like in 04-05. And Rockets have Alston, Head, Howard, Battier, and soon to be Wells and Snyder to help step up with the scoring load.

And to be honest, the Jazz are playing like the best team in the league at this moment. That doesn't mean that they would beat the Spurs in a 7 game series, but they are playing great ball right now. Also, the Spurs lost to one of the worst teams in the league in Charlotte. That has to be taken in to account.

The Rockets blowing a 20 point lead means that they have shown that they will blow big leads, while the Magic have won games where they have jumped out to big leads. The Rockets depend way more on their top two than the Magic do in my opinion, and I think that should be a big thing for the Magic. If Howard and Nelson have a bad night, the Magic can still win. Sure the Rockets will get Wells and Snyder back, which will take pressure off of the big two, but right now they don't have them and I think that makes Orlando a little more dangerous. The Magic have Hill, Arroyo, Turkoglu, Dooling, Darko Milicic, and Trevor Ariza on the bench right now all who can step up and score points for the Magic. I think that should play a big thing in this that the Magic rely alot less on their main two the Rockets do.

To me the Rockets are WAY more dangerous, and it isn't just because of their top 2. But forget those role players, T-Mac and Yao alone are somewhat unstoppable. You will never see both have bad nights. You always gotta double one, and if you do, the other is likely to have a big night (and doubles never really affected them, especially T-Mac, to begin with). When together in 04-05, despite slow start, they won 52 games. Last year, with an unhealthy T-Mac and Yao, and role players in dissaray, they were 21-10 when both played together. So yes, give me the Rockets over the Magic.
