San Francisco, Posey rule, Fat Panda, the beard, Bochi, stoner Lincecum, San Francisco, kayaking for home runs, and Barry Bonds.

Did I mention they are in San Francisco? Oh and I generally hate any team that uses the color orange.

You know Tom for a guy who generally sounds fairly intelligent, you sound like an idiot here.

I'll give you the asshole Bonds but the Posey rule? are you serious? The guy had his fucking leg broke. Do you really think he went crying to the league to get this rule implemented? Sandoval because he's heavy? And Bochy taking his team to there 3rd WS in 5 years, yeah got to hate anyone who has the nerve to do that. And fans in kayak's? & the color orange? what are you 12?

Tom please, I'd like to think you're a little better than this.

All of these! Bonds is probably chief among them, but can't think of anything of redeeming value from the SF Giants... And definitely agree on the orange

Wow...now who else has misplaced their sense of humor? Lol!

Sorry Rick, the bay area holds no redeeming qualities for me. As for Posey...he sure as hell whined and Bodhi took it up a few octaves. Its the world rule in baseball in my lifetime. If they are worried about Posey, stick him in left or on first. Real men defend the dish. Posada would have cut off his leg before having a rule like that associated with him. The closer and the beard thing was fucking ridiculous....no class (see Mo). I have no issue with fat guys playing ball, loved watching T Gwynn and Cecil Fielder. But the panda masks and heads in the stands....really? What is this....Chinese baseball? Yes...fucktards in kayaks, I'm rooting for a great white! As for orange....I also hate the Mets and Gloryholes, toss in the Astros too and the gay rainbow uniforms from the 70/80s. I think we agree on Barroid.

And since when did being a fan, short for fanatic, ever have to make rational sense? I mean what grown man actually like the Raiders outside of Oakland and LA barrios? But we don't judge that.

I look forward to the Royals kicking some bay area butt!

Fred (Chicken) Stanley is the farm director.

Dunno why, I just felt a need to post it. It does seem a bit funny.

I was a huge Bobby Bonds fan therefor it went over to his son who showed amazing potential in his first 10+ years. Unfortunately he got caught up in the Sosa/McGwire HR chase of 98 & decided to join the PED party. Unfortunate for him since he was well on his way to a HOF career. So yeah we agree on him. But seriously if you really think for one minute that the league implemented this new catcher rule based solely on what Posey & perhaps Bochy approached the league with you're living in a dream world. I've no doubt that other managers looked at the Posey collision & thought "Hey in this day & age of multi million dollar salaries we need to do better to protect our catchers". I'm sure it was approved league wide & not just on Posey or Bochy's suggestion.

But hey you like who you like & hate who you hate, I thought your reasons were a little lame but hey......its all good. GO GIANTS!

Catching is inherently dangerous and riskful position, period. This rule change cheapens the game....Posey could have opted to not block the plate. But I'm to believe that peer pressure forced him to man up and field his position? Resulting in his broken leg? There was a cacophony on whining coming out of the fragile giant organization. No one said they had to tie up millions on their receiver.

What's lame to me are people with AL and NL teams. Fandom should be monogynous.

Apparently you missed my post #43 in the thread titled "Post season picks" where I clearly explain this. And as Ron (59) also clearly pointed out, You can root for more then one team. Try & keep up.

I don't dispute your take Tote-

No one else I can recall since Ray Fosse, had as much of a collision at Home Plate. Fosse tho' lost his career more or less, as ya'll know. Tho' MLB didn't take up and create a Little League rule for Fosse....

As much I cannot stand that overweight bastard in Frisco neither...Panda needs to shed at least 50 lbs, IMO. I don't enjoy out of shape players in any sport. Sandoval is NO EXCEPTION....!!!

I didn't really care for either Cecil or his Kid either, detracted from everything I was ever taught about all sports....!

Have another Taco and Pepsi, hell have another 2 dozen or more, throw a fkn dozen pizzas in, and a gallon of Ice Cream too....!

hell even Valenzuela was man enough to admit he ate to many fkn tacos and pepsi's...Don't tell me Pablo plays his position better at 3rd either, with his big fkn gut, effing disgusting IMO....

    .

...I think most people's "fandom" is first rooted with the game of Baseball itself.

... And just because the Yanx are not in the PS doesn't mean we'll stop watching Baseball games and it doesn't mean we can't pull for or against another team.

As I mentioned Rob, catchers in Fosse's era weren't making 10+ million dollars a season. Hell, look at football & all the new rules they now have to protect players.

Sandoval won't be too concerned if he were playing against the Yankees all the time but I'd like to see what would happen if teams bunted for hits a couple/few times each game just to test the "fat guy" playing 3b.
Just curious....are they bashful? Do they consider it an insult? I mean..seriously, don't they wonder how often tubby can run in, bend down, grab a ball with his bare hand and throw across his body well enough to get the runner... in one motion?
    jeez

However- I would certainly find a spot in my lineup for Sandoval's bat.

The Giants already won a playoff game by bunting on the pitcher - Choate.
The large majority of pitchers couldn't cleanly field two good bunts without fumbling or throwing away at least one of them. I'm not talking about easy comebackers.
Defensively, most pitchers are clumsy robots. lol

I know it won't happen, it just seems teams/ball players don't attack defenses, specifically infield defenses...most guys just swing hard all the time and hope it falls in or goes over a fence although I have a feeling there WILL be an adjustment made by teams/players next season regarding the shifts...or overly exaggerated positioning to put it another way.
