^^^Yeah I think so. But the movie is great even though he is old. The fighting really dosnt make the movie. Its wat happens. Sort of like Rocky 1.

Trust me you wont get most of the jokes or the whole storyline basicly.

Saw the movie last night. Good movie if you're a fan of the series. I recommend it. Like what JKidd said, the fighting honestly did not make the movie, it was the events that happened throughout. I'm not going to spoil it though.

Extra Awesome movie, nice plot and storyline. The fight sequence was great with how they used the HBO layout for it. I recommend it to everybody

More story driven about Rocky and his surroundings and not about the fight.

Damn, I saw this last week. Personally I thought it was pretty lousy. They really didn't spend a lot of time on character development, his opponent was kind of a nice guy (and kind of flabby), and a lot of things just didn't make sense. Like the whole deal with the white lady with the black son. It seemed like something was gonna happen there and nothing did. The training scene is usually the best part of the movie, but this one didn't seem all that great. And they didn't have as much buildup to the fight as they have in the other movies. Plus the ending with all the people climbing the steps was stupid. I was disappointed with this movie.

I saw it a week or so ago...kinda disappointing. Better than Rocky 5 but not better than any of the first 4. They didn't show enough fighting and the training was the best scene.

I saw it yesterday. I haven't sat through a whole Rocky movie, so I can't compare it to anything. It was an alright movie. It wasn't great, but it was okay. I can't say, "if you liked the other Rocky's, you'll love this one." Because I haven't seen the other ones really, like I said before. This movie does play off a lot of things from the older ones though.

From what you guys are saying, I will probably enjoy this flick as it sounds like the first movie. Expecting those traning montages and 15 round fights is not what made Rocky good in the first place. It's the message and story behind it, and how Rocky overcame the odds. That loses it's meaning when you have to put him against a superhuman Russian to drive the point home. If you know what I'm talking about. The sequels got unrealistic and away from the point of the original.

See, it's been like a week since I seen this.I love the Rocky's, I mean who doesn't??I like how the movie started off with every characters' problems and issues and all of them fighting through them as the movie goes on.Antonio Tarver did a great job, even though he didn't have to do much.Another good Rocky movie. I loved it.

SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIEFirst off, I'll say that this was a terrible movie. A terrible movie. A terrible movie. A terrible movie. A terrible movie.Did I just repeat myself six times? That's what the Rocky series has essentially done. The horribly thrown together plot line, which was almost as cliched as "In the Mix" and almost at the lameness level thereof as well, and the training scene which might as well be stock footage from the other movies, was almost salvaged by the great fight scenes. Almost. Almost. Almost. Almost. Almost. There I go again. The fight scene was brilliantly thrown together, and got one's heart pounding with excitement as the fight got to its climax. Until the sobering realization hit me - this is going to be a full distance split decision like all the other movies. I was hoping, praying, that the idiot would kill off Rocky, to salvage some empathy from a drained audience that was laughing at the emotional moments. It appeared that that would be what would happen as the son said "you have nothing left to prove" to which Sly responded "I gotta go out the way I gotta go out". But no, he didn't kill off Rocky, killing any possibility of the movie being redeemed as well as opening up the vast likelihood of a Rocky 7 (a rematch. where have I seen that before. Finally rocky dies) and even Rocky 8 (son of rocky fights rocky's killer with a vengeance)Overall, if I wanted to see rocky one I would have seen rocky one, as it was more or less the same movie.[IMG]"Sylvester, I understand this entire movie is about your pride but let's be real, nobody is going to buy that you're four pounds lighter than me""It ain't over till it's over, don't judge a scale by it's weight, don't teach an old dog new tricks when the new tricks ain't half as bad as the old ones - ""Aight, I got yo' drift. Damn."
