I'm hearing second visit in under a week and bringing folks.... I'd understand Bama, LSU, Auburn and even Miss St., but Ole Miss baffles me as a sell not just because of their historically racial past but this is a team that defines flash in the pan for success! The who's who of that amazing recruiting class will have 1 year left before they can all go pro and I feel at the end of that amazing class thus goes Ole Miss.
His parents will not be coming with him for his Oregon Official, that is one of the major causes for concern.
While you've got your theories, Gallimore confirmed yesterday on rivals that he'll be in Eugene on a OV for the Stanford game. His quote..."Oregon is for sure going to be in the mix." STOMP
of course I've already relayed Gallimore is my greatest hope of all the possible prospects (which might be the kiss of death to our chances Haha), but the only thing I'm definitely right about is that he is interested. For UO's chances I'd add that as opposed to most every other prospect, there is no home school in the mix. In other news, confirmed for the Washington game are DTs Drayton Carlberg & Rasheem Green, & LBs John Houston & Tevis Bartlett. The only 1 of the 4 I think might commit this weekend is Carlberg, as the other 3 have stated that they plan on taking all their visits and announcing closer to signing day. Carlberg went from chatterbox to radio silent following his unofficial visit to Eugene this summer. All 4 are coming with their parents which is always a positive. Following a recent rivals read, I'm pretty optimistic about our chances with Houston STOMP
Also coming for the Washington game are Philadelphia eagles Michael Clay, Jeff Maehl, Wade Kelliikipi, Will Murphy and Casey Matthews. 2015 verbals Jihree Stewart & Alex Ofodile are going to be on their OVs as well STOMP
Well last night was a ton of fun and if those guys don't see how electric Autzen is? Who needs um! BTW- last night was PERFECT football weather, I mean what a classic night!!!!!
I've seen pictures of those two plus Tevis Bartlett and current verbals Stewart, Throckmorton & Ofodile... apparently Drayton Carlberg didn't show STOMP
Oh well. Carlberg is probably gonna stay closer to home. Sparty and the Gophers are doing decent. Also, glad to know Green and Houston loved the visit. We gotta go after these guys hard.
So let's say with a 50/50 chance Muschamp gets the GONG in the next two weeks or less, how does that change Cowart's thinking on the big front running Gators? It's very likely that Florida will need another 4+ years to become relevant if they can at all. If FSU becomes a player than what does that mean for Sweat? Can't see him, Cowart and CeCe all going at the same position to the same school.
Muschamp's lack of job security has been widely speculated on since last season & of course it's filtered into speculations on Cowart and other top Florida recruits. Oregon is the wild card childhood favorite of Byron and he's coming in for a visit. The local school struggling to remain a viable choice helps, but my guess is UO's chances hinge mostly on him connecting with the players/coaches & Eugene while on his visit. IMO he'd be a tremendous get & would fit in most any school or defensive system. He measured in at 6'3.5 258 at The Opening, and like every single HS player ever, he's been steadily filling out throughout his HS days. He's probably 270-275 by next fall... I truly don't get how you can claim he's not big enough to play at Buckner's DT position STOMP
The Big Buck has truly turned into a DT more than a DE. Buckner is 6'7 and 298 ish.... Cowart gives up size and weight to him first, and is true DE by his frame. If we were blessed to get him, I would even love to see him cover that 15 yard and under 3rd down area we've been getting slammed on with the pass due to his speed at the LB spot! Cowart is an edge guy that will get to the QB and cause havoc. He's not a DT though. He's a shorter version of Dion Jordan. Rasheem Green can play Buckner's position and so could Neville. These are your run stopper, gap crushers. I think Buckner comes back next year, to go along with Talia and maybe "Neville or Green", that could be fierce. I still contend that Buckner is the real goods on the D line and Armstead is riding on his high school rep where Buck is doing it on the field every game!
