I think he explained that happens because we didn't pick up his option.

Brian mentioned the following quote in a different thread:

"If the Blazers wanted to keep the option of going over the cap to resign Robinson, they would need to maintain a cap hold of about $15M for him."

TRob can play for a contract. This is very similar to the JJ Hickson situation. We have nothing to lose and we're going to be paying LaMarcus and probably Wes and Rolo this offseason so it makes perfect sense. This is not a Leonard vs TRob move, it's a fiscal move. If TRob earns it, they can resign him as a free agent anyway.

When I look at TRobs game I automatically think he'd be a perfect fit on the Grizzlies backing up Zac Randolph or in Detroit backing up Monroe and Josh Smith.

See I'm pretty sure he'd rather re-sign here albeit for less money, but in his mind that is probably better than going to another unknown situation. Getting traded by teams who don't give you a shot, to playing on a playoff team and being part of a playoff series win.

If I was Trob I would stay here as long as they didn't completely nickel and dime me.

    I hope he stays.
I'm not a T-Rob fan, mags, I'm a blazers fan. Him succeeding on another team would give me very little pleasure (although I would be happy for him, I do like him very much).
I don't think he's realistically a 5minute player, he's our 4th-best big and if Kaman plays mostly behind Rolo and LMA plays less minutes per game like I want him to (and having T-Rob enables that), he could give us 15 very good minutes. This is many times the difference in a game.
We know our starting 5 is very good. I think with Kaman, T-Rob, Barton, Blake and the next tier of CJ, Vic, Wright, Freeland, our bench isn't bad either, which could allow the starters more rest and the coach to have more options.

Im glad to hear he is at least saying the right things. Hopefully he actually feels that way.

I really love this quote the best

I hope he lives up to those words. It would be nice that he takes less to stay a Blazer. Or blows up enough to warrant his rookie contract.

Ugh. 'A part' and 'apart' aren't synonymous.

Yeah, in this case, they're antonyms. Does he want to be a part, or apart? We know from the contest he meant a part, but it's still an unfortunate typo, and one not caught by spell check or autocorrect.
