So pretty much any power forward that Dirk can't defend makes Dampier look bad.I can agree with you there.

And Amare was playing Center in that series ya'll are referring too, not PF...that was the Matrix...TD and Amare, when healthy, make just about anyone look dumb who guards them. All you can do, is body up on them, put a hand in their face, and hope you can box them out to a degree.

When we played against him a couple years ago, Dirk got all pissy at Damp because he wasn't defending Amare worth a crap. One of the announcers made a comment about how Dirk shouldn't be complaining because it's his man, which is essentially true. But yeah, no one is going to shut down TD and Amare. Timmy isn't that agile anyway. It's not like Damp can't keep up with him.
I was just going to start a topic on Dampier, I haven't seen him play that much so I can't really elaborate on his play but the stats don't lie. Averaging nearly a double-double with one block and shooting 68% from the field. Granted his shots are pretty much all dunks and layups it still shows consistency and his ability to be effective. I thought this guy was turning into an overpaid joke for a while, he's scheduled to make 13 MIL in 2010-2011, has Damp been stepping it up?
