Do you honestly think Billups will opt out of his contract at the end of this season? It's been speculated for awhile now...

I think he will opt-out of his contract at the end of this season, however whether or not he re-signs with Detroit depends on how the Pistons perform this season, both during the regular season and, more importantly, in the playoffs. If I'm not mistaken, Joe Dumars has already mentioned that he will do whatever he can to keep Billups in a Pistons uniform, even if that means offering him a max contract.

I am more certain that Billups will resign than with Ben Wallace. He'd better come back. He's our best player, our superstar, and our most clutch shooter.

if he doesn't come back, I will be a very angry fan, he is a max-contract player, Joe would be smart to do so.if he doesn't come back, I will be a very angry fan, he is a max-contract player, Joe would be smart to do so.

Of course he will opt out. He'd be a fool not too. With that said, this town would go CRAZy if they let Ben and Billups walk in back to back years. They'll pay him Steve Nash money, and hopefully it's enough..if it's not give him more.
