How many of you Detroit fans are still a fan of Ben Wallace as a player? He did bring a lot to the Pistons during his time with the team.I'm just wondering how many of you guys still like Wallace despite what he did.
Are you kidding me? Number one fan no matter where he goes. You can't forget Ben if you're a Pistons fan. That's why during the All Star game - when we got Tayshaun, Rasheed, Rip, Chaunce, and Ben - I'll have the biggest smile on my face. That will be a site to see.
I'm still a Ben Wallace fan. I know what he did doesn't make him popular, but if the Bulls have a better chance at winning a title in his eyes, I don't blame him for the move.
I'm not a Ben fan anymore, why would I be? I don't hate him anymore, and still appreciate him as a player. But I definitely am not cheering for him to do anything or achieve anything more then anybody else. He'll be back as a figure in Detroit after he retires though probably.
I was really upset when he left, but you can't deny what he did for us in his years here. So, I'm still his fan, wherever he goes.
Part of me really wants to see Ben do well. I sort of look at it like he is a friend of the Pistons and gave us some great years. He?s moved on and so should we. Sort like a friend who moves to a new job, his leaving may hurt your feelings but you?ll still miss him, and wish him luck. But more and more his act is getting tiresome. A few years ago I would have never thought that he would ever be such a disruption to a team, even thought looking back the warning signs of disruption were here and we may have chosen to ignore them. I really thought this guy was different, all that blue collar, work ethic, determination talk. Remember all that? Now this dude looks like a straight up diva. To see Ben pulling this kinda sh*t is sad, for him, the Bulls, and for Bulls and Piston fans. Ben Wallace is a great NBAer. Great. But he has to play within a frame that will allow him to play to his strengths. I?m not sure if it was his agent, or wife, or his own delusional thinking that got him thinking he could be ?the man? but it just ain?t the case. He seems to be unraveling right before our eyes. It?s a real shame. If he was here we would have 2-3 more wins and he would likely still be putting up respectable numbers. I hope the extra jack and the chance to be the man was worth it.
#1 Big Ben fan right here, I just miss him a lot. ha,I seen that he cant even wear a headband in chi-town! hahaha, poor guy,
I still like him but not half as much as before. You can def. see he is unhappy and didn't realize he what he was losing. I don't/won't cheer for him anymore.

I became less of a Ben Wallace fan when he left Detroit. The main reason for me was because I really think he did it for the money. The team he was playing with was very capable of making it back to the finals and I think that he knew that. Sure, the Bulls are going to be the best team in the east, but he is going to be over the hill by then IMO and he wont be contributing that much.
