Smush Parker is not a good NBA starter, I have yet to hear anything about Mitch Mupchak looking to deal for a point guard. Does he think Smush will magically start playing defense overnight? Maybe find something temporary at least until Jordan Farmar is ready to start.Delonte West anyone? Jason Hart wants out of Sacramento...

He already did...he acknoledged the point guard position by drafting Farmar and signing Williams. They might not be the best point guards in the league but that is ok. Smush is actually playing pretty good defense as of late and is doing a nice job shooting the ball and driving inside. I believe that in the future Farmar will eventually start for the Lakers but as of right now I wouldn't worry too much...

I think you're underestimating the difficulty in finding a good point guard in the situation the Lakers are in. The Jordan Farmar pick was great, if they can keep him for long enough I can see him becoming a top ten point guard in the league for the Lakers.

The Celtics aren't going to just give away a fan favorite, I don't think the Lakers have the pieces to trade for him. Looking back...everyone loved Smush Parker last season, lots of people here were raving about him and it seemed like I was the only one here that didn't like him...heh...now look...

People didn't love his game, they loved how he came out of no where and was able to play. Around midseason when everyone had forgotten about that and was judging as an actual NBA player, Lakers fans at least were furious with him. He had terrible defensive tendencies, he was inconsistent as hell, and he had serious confidence issues.

They did draft a very capable rookie in Jordan Farmar...So its not like he isnt looking to improve at that spot. Smush might not be the best starting PG in the league, but he isnt terrible. Although, if they want to be a title contender, they are going to need a very unselfish pass first PG. And Tony, why would you mention a guy like Jason Hart? He isnt better than Smush or Farmar anyways...

He has faith in Farmar, I would too, but I would still try to pick up a vet PG again. Maybe bring Derek Fisher back or something.

One Point Guard many Laker fans seem to forgotten about is Tyron Lue. This kidd came off the bench in the 2001 NBA Finals and really did a good job guarding Allen Iverson. Tyron Lue did a great job for the lakers and I believe he would be a great choice to bring back. As far as I know he knew the Triangle offense pretty well and he never had any problems with any of the managgement. I see know problem as to why they can't bring him back. As for Derick Fisher I don't think they have a shot at getting him back because 1 Fisher is on a team thats winning and I believe he's comfortable there. 2 Derick Fisher was one of Utahs huge free agent signings there for I see no reason why they would trade him anywhere. Especially since he's doing a good job helping them.

Watson seems like the shaky type; I don't know if he's very durable.

What about Mattean Cleaves does anyone know what happend to him? He was a great point guard in College. Did he get a career ending injury or something because if not I think he would fit in great. If he could come here and play the way he did in College he would be just the player LA needs to help this team get better. I think he would have no problems learnong the Triangle. He could win Most Improved player of the year

Cleaves' career has been screwed over with injuries. Besides, you guys don't need to sign a no-name that is in-and-out of the league. You already signed Shammond Williams. But yes, Cleaves was excellent (and clutch) in college.

And Balla, we kind of do have a PG logjam here with Bassy, D-West, and Rondo, but what would the Lakers offer us for Delonte? I don't see anything.

Becuase we already have our pg. His name is Jordan farmar. He has already shown me more than smush parker has this season. Smush has regressed. Farmar's the better passer, rebounder, playmaker, defender and leader. We don't need players who sulk and are arrogant especially when their playis horrible.

Kobe Bryant for Delonte West :dribble:In all seriousness though, Delonte would fit in well with the Lakers, I just don't see what Danny would ask for in return besides maybe a draft pick. They don't really have the pieces we need in order to make a trade like this happen.
