<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"We need [Webber] on the basketball court," Iverson said. "We need him to play. Not too much has changed from last year, from the same 20 [points] and 10 [rebounds] guy. He still has a lot in him. No disrespect to Maurice Cheeks, because I've got to go with everything that he does, but Chris definitely gives us a chance to win."</div>Come on AI, Tell the truth :beee:Geez, I'm a topic whore tonight.
I honestly do not believe Iverson is telling the truth on this subject. I mean, come on, he went on to say that Chris Webber is our best post defender! And anybody who has more than one brain cell knows that isn't true! This is just a case of Allen trying to be supportive of Webber because he knows if Webber isn't happy (whether or not he is on the court) then things will get even uglier in Philly. And what happens when things get ugly in Philly? Everybody points fingers at Allen, and then they try to trade him, which is something he doesn't want.AI knows we are better off without Webber... he's just trying to be supportive of his teammate/friend.
