Not sure I can agree. Durant shoots less than 1 FGA/g more than Westbrook. However, due to KD's insane efficiency (even with RW getting a ton of FTAs) he gets about 6ppg more on that 1 FGA than RW. Durant's PER is usually about 5 points higher than RW.

As for any "beef", I think they both say there is none. But there is tension, because I don't doubt for a second that RW thinks he has the authority/game to freeze out Durant. That it's EVER happened speaks to the lunacy of it. Pippen might have been slain in his sleep if he did to MJ some of the things RW has done to Durant on the court.

That's funny because I saw that Durant leads the league in scoring in 4th and with 5 minutes left in the game.

I always thought Westbrook was the guy that did most his damage the first 3 quarters while KD finished the games.

It happens in the playoffs, year after year. Westbrook has more FGA/36, but is MUCH less efficient scorer. I find it laughable that you defend Westbrook by saying Durant shoots too much. Look at their shooting percentages and FGA/36 some time.

Its fun to ridicule Westbrook because of how many shots he takes and how sometimes you can get into his head and he will destroy OKC's gameplan to try and prove a point but because he is such an insane athlete and his ability to drive towards the rim and hit from the outside makes him a versatile scorer, if not an efficient one, but that makes teams have to really pay attention to him and it drags teams away from doubling Durant every play. Durant gets easier shots and more room to work because of how good Westbrook is.

You misquoted me on one word. But that one word makes a big difference to my point. I said Durant shoots so much, not too much.
The fact that he gets so many opportunities to shoot make me believe RW rarely freezes KD out. KD can't do it by himself. No one can. He needs RW to score in the 4th as well.

Contract extension discussions have ended, and San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard plans to explore restricted free agency next summer, his agent, Brian Elfus, told Yahoo Sports on Friday afternoon.

Elfus and Leonard have held firm on their desire for a maximum contract extension, something Spurs management won’t consider until July.

Yeah, i guess it beats the Blazers coming along and giving their players toxic offers.

Unless he has a horrible year or gets hurt somebody is going to give it to him. Then question is whether SAS will match or not

I wouldn't mind giving him a toxic contract offer.

And some blast the Blazers for doing the same thing with TRob, because he's so valuable, and not extending him might hurt chemistry? It's a simple business strategy that I'm sure Leonard's agent will explain to him. Play for a contract and get paid.

I don't think the Jazz can afford to be bad too many more years in a row. If they don't pay now they may not have a team in a few years. Overall I think they have drafted pretty well. If they hold on to their guys they will eventually be pretty good. Maybe not championship level contenders, but still pretty good.
With the new TV contracts kicking in they probably feel it is a safe investment.

That's awesome! The players had a good sense of humor about it, but the owner seemed like he had to pretend he wasn't pissed off. Typical no sense of humor corporate Schmoe.

Kawhi Leonard is overrated, doesn't deserve max contract.
