Peavy, read an article in which he stated that he'd like to go play for the Cubs and pitch in the same rotation as his old buddy John Lester. Those comments came while still a member of the Giants and I think before he made his pathetic start in game 6. To me the man is an ingrate, lucked out with the Bostons last year, then gets to the Giants this year comes up smelling like a rose. That being said if I were the Giants I'd not only let him go I'd kick his ass right out of ATT Park.

...overall, he was pretty good. Out of 14 starts 10 of them were quality starts. ... 2.89 ERA

...I thought Peavy pitched pretty damn well also, aside from his game 6 stinker...but hell, that can happen to anyone. Ask Kershaw, Wainwright, et al.

I'd have to agree with this. Hope the Yankees resign him.

Aside from resigning both Panda & Morse I'd also like to see full healthy seasons from Pagan & Belt who came out very hot at the beginning of the season. I do think the Giants need to add a power bat & not knowing how Cain will be we need another strong SP.

Oh, I'd take them both in a heart beat....I just didn't want to sound too greedy.

I'd take Mike McCormack too, maybe Jim Ray Hart, Hal Lanier....et al.....LOL...! That was one helluva Giant's Team back in the 60s eh Rick? I loved watching Bonds Sr. Play alongside Mays. The other M&M boys as well....!

I swear the HR I saw McCovey hit in 1968; No one at the game ever saw that ball come back down. NASA confirmed McCovey's Moon Blast is now circling the moon, like a satellite, or a moon around the moon...

Just goes to prove - different courses for different horses.

Look at the players on those SF teams of the 60s as compared to the 3 SF WORLD SERIES CHAMPION teams of the past five seasons and you don't know whether you should laugh,or cry.

And of COURSE, three things still remain.
    1) The bottom line is WINNING it ALL.
    2) These 3 ws teams have been a combination of 2 or 3 "good" hitters and a cast of fluctuating mediocrities.
    3) This current "dynasty team" clearly ranks at the bottom of the Dynastic Teams list.
