The following 12 players were given QO yesterday...... AMERICAN LEAGUE Yankees = David Robertson Baltimore = Nelson Cruz Detroit = Victor Martinez & Max Scherzer Kansas city = James Shields Toronto = Melky Cabrera NATIONAL LEAGUE Atlanta = Ervin Santana Colorado = Michael Cuddyer Los Angeles = Hanley Ramirez Pittsburgh = Francisco Liriano & Russell Martin San Francisco = Pablo Sandoval
I don't expect the Yanks to do much with free agents. The thing I'm worried about is Tanaka, if he eventually goes down with arm surgery, this Yankee SP staff can turn ordinary very quickly.
...I can see them making a run at Lester because they really have no idea what to expect from Tanaka or CC. ( CC, mainly because he's a LHer and they are so hard to come by and so necessary at YS.) ...if they sign Lester or another ace and the other Yanx pitchers all return to form (not likely) a surplus of solid pitchers is always a good problem to have...and the odd men out can still be valuable as trade chips.
Same here, I'd give D-Rob a shot as a set up man, see if he can handle that, cuz I don't believe he can be the Yanx closer going forward. I'd give the Closer Role to Betances in a NY second.
I agree bos. he's certainly not worth $15M. And its that very reason why I hope he turns down the QO.
If the Cubs can fire Renteria and hire Maddon "out of loyalty to the organization" then the Yankees can resign D-rob at a reasonable rate, in his former set up role, with Dellin as closer, for the best interest of the organization".
LMAO, great picture.....where in the world does one find one of those 3 kilo bags of Cheetos??? Heck, with one of those, I could even begin to share....!
...hey, Chester Cheetah is on the front of the bag...that's all that is required. ...it also says "Chee-tos" and "Los Originales".
