Team USA obviously made a mistake. Lillard has completely dominated Irving three times in a row. Why do people act like Irving is better?

He's also better than Rose. Westbrook appears to be the best PG though.

Irving is like Westbrook in that he IS better than Dame but Dame works within his teams structure better. Dame is like Roy to Irving's Wade.

That's not the point, the point I was making was Roy (Prime) being compared to Wade (Post Shaq) is similar to Lillard being compared to Irving.

Irving is nothing like Wade in any type of comparison.

Given Kyrie was the MVP on the tournament I doubt most people would agree with you.

Lillard would've been a better MVP and they would've won by more points.

or.. Kyrie may have burned himself out to some extent and Lillard was the better player last night precisely because he was cut.

He's not comparing Irving and Wade. He is saying that comparing Lillard and Irving is like comparing Roy and Wade(post shaq).

But it's not. Wade to Roy is not Irving to Lillard in any matter of speaking. And he is comparing Irving and Wade. Read what you wrote. They are being used to compare.

I took it more of a comparisson of players who both fit well in their system. Basically saying you can't compare Lillard and Irving because Lillard fits into his teams system much better. Then he used Wade(post shaq) and Roy as another comparisson because Roy fit into the Blazers system where Wade was kind of free to do whatever, much like Kyrie in his pre lebron years.

Some players need to be the alpha male to shine on a team....Lebron is back..Irving and Love are no longer top dogs on this team. Remeber the Nash, Howard, Kobe Lakers? Doesn't always work
