That fan who collapsed last night passed away at the hospital. RIP http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2014/11/woman_who_collapsed_at_blazer.html#incart_river
Awful. Still, credit to the fans and EMTs who worked so valiantly to try and save her, that was a massive effort.
I got an update on my phone from OregonLive, but I can't find the article. I'll post it if I can find it.
I dont mean this to be rude in any way shape or form it was just a thought that I had. When my time comes I wouldnt want to pass away in public like that but watching a great Blazers game at home that we are winning wouldnt be so bad.
Thoughts and prayers to her family. The players were pretty shook up about it last night, we definitely have a good group of guys.
I know the players were genuinely concerned. This is just terrible. Thoughts going out to her family for sure.
Yes, and the speed that EMTs were there to help her, and then take her to the hospital I hear was very quick. I imagine unless she was in a hospital when she collapsed, her time had come.
Such a sad, sad story. This is too bad. What's interesting is that there was no mention atleast with what I saw or heard of her being with anyone... RIP. And if you read or post in here. I'm sorry for your loss.
The reaction of the players to this made an impression on me. They are trained how to talk to the press, so most of what they say isn't interesting or genuine, but this was an unexpected event and so I suspect that the concern on their faces was real. Athletes are so often self-absorbed pricks and it's nice to see evidence that it isn't always so. barfo
