Waiting mid season could mean that our team is firing on all cylinders and we really don't need shit. I have faith that's exactly what will happen.
In order to be a real contender, we need a true 6th man. Tony Allen maybe? Someone like that. CJ may be that guy some day, but not now
I would jump all over Tony Allen. He is a perfect "Bruce Bowen" type role player off the bench. I would give Memphis Leonard, Wright and Crabbe for him in a heart beat.
Memphis ain't gonna move Tony Allen. He is the heart of that team and has a friendly contract. We have 77 more games for CJ to develop, just gotta let the cake bake a bit. But if by all-star break and CJ is still "meh" then yes, go for the veteran guy on a high salary (expiring).
I absolutely agree memphis probably wouldn't trade him. But Allen is a prime SF. If there is ever an opportunity to get him, I wouldn't worry about "what if CJ". I get it done!
I think we should be addressing the design and placement of the Naismith Trophy display in the Rose Garden.
