Both of these guys are stars in this league, both are dynamite offensive players. Let's see which one wills their team to victory. CelticBalla's Extra Thoughts/Notes Redd is on fire, Pierce has to step his game up defensively. Bogut could cause problems, we should kill their PF's. Our bench should outplay theirs. CelticBalla's Prediction I don't know who's going to take this one. Milwaukee is coming off a win over Philly, we are coming off a blowout loss to New York in our own building. I guess I will say the Celtics will take this one due to coming out with fire after a bad loss and the fact that Milwaukee has 3 hurt starters. We should beat these guys, but will we?
Maybe we could. One of there best man (Charlie) won't be playing so hopefully Gomes and Perkins can have a big game tonight. All we need to do is not let Redd score 30+
Even without CV, Williams and Simmons I honestly don't think we can beat them. The Celtics are playing so terribly. Hopefully they can turn it around tonight, but I am actually at the point where I have no faith in them winning anymore.
Lately we've been in a horrible shooting slump, so hopefully we can run and run to get some easy scores, maybe raise the confidence of the team. We SHOULD be able to take advantage of an undermanned Bucks squad, but with this team, you never know.
We win! We win! Wow, what a second half by the Celtics!!!! We murdered them in the 2nd half. The starting unit was SENSATIONAL tonight. Pierce was himself again, Wally did well, Gomes and Perk did awesome, Sebastian was terrific. Then we had great contributions off the bench, from Al Jefferson especially. Excellent road win, I'm a happy camper tonight. Paul Pierce 36 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals on 10-16 shooting (4-6 3FG, 12-15 FT) Paul was unbeleivable tonight. I'm happy he bounced back off a poor effort last night vs. New York. He really brought his A-Game tonight, and he did everything. He knocked down 3's, pulled up from mid-range, took it strong to the hole, got to the line, and made his free throws. He made some nice passes and played solid defense on Redd. Great job by Pierce tonight. Wally Szczerbiak 21 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist on 6-9 shooting (8-8 FT) 21 points on 9 shots = very efficient play. Wally was good tonight. He has struggled this past week, but tonight he really did well. He shot the ball at a high percentage and knocked down the freebies. Sebastian Telfair 12 points, 8 assists, only 1 turnover on 5-9 shooting Bassy arguably had his best game as a Celtic tonight. He really was the floor general tonight. He made some beautiful kickouts, he hit some shots, penetrated, and played ok defense. Great job from Sebastian. His turnovers have gone down considerably these last couple weeks. Ryan Gomes 15 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block on 7-10 shooting Gomes was outstanding tonight. He made all the hustle plays, tipped shots, grabbed rebounds, hit a couple 18 footers, played good defense. He was outstanding, I loved everything he did tonight. Kendrick Perkins 5 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks on 2-6 shooting Perk was awesome tonight. He blocked shots, was a presence downlow defensively, he worked hard on the boards, and he really was moving well. He has plantar fasciitis, but you couldn't tell tonight. Perk is a beast. Al Jefferson 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block on 3-5 shooting (4-7 FT) Big Al was huge off the bench tonight. He only blocked one shot, but he changed about 3-4. He helped on the glass, hit big free throws, put on a couple solid post moves. Al may not bull his way for a slam, but his new weight helps his quickness tremendously on the boards and blocking shots. Al was great tonight. Delonte West 4 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists on 2-7 shooting Delonte is still struggling with his shot. Jesus christ, he needs to get it falling like last year. But he brought a lot of energy tonight, and I liked that. I do like one thing about his shooting, however: he may be missing, but he still takes his open shots. That's key for confidence. Some guys, when they are in a slump, just stop shooting. Delonte keeps at it. Gerald Green 6 points on 3-3 shooting He was gold in the 2nd quarter. He only played 5-6 minutes tonight, but he played well. He made 2 nice defensive plays and he hit 2 jumpers off a catch-and-shoot off screens. If the starting unit didn't dominate the 2nd half, Gerald would have played more, but I don't blame Doc one bit with the way we played in the 2nd half. But Gerald looked good out there tonight. Brian Scalabrine 2 points, 4 rebounds on 1-4 shooting Scal was very scrappy tonight. He fought hard on the offensive glass and he hustled. He had one sequence where he missed 2-3 layups with Perk within 4 seconds, but he kept with it on the offensive glass and he finally put it in the bucket. Scal played well tonight. Tony Allen 2 points, 2 rebounds on 1-3 shooting TA played 15 minutes tonight, and for one reason: to guard Michael Redd. He did a good job with that. I'm very happy with TA's performance tonight. Rajon Rondo Only played for a few seconds, don't be alarmed or mad at Doc. He has the flu. I still don't understand why he even bothered to put him in there at all, but whatever. We outrebounded them, only commited 2 turnovers in the second half, we hit our shots, we hustled, and Redd did not play very well. Great win for the C's. Next Game Wednesday (11/29/06) at home vs. New Jersey (7:30 pm ET).
QUOTE (playaofthegame @ Nov 25 2006, 10:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

good..we won but doc can suck my balls..0 minutes for rondo and 12 for scabs..
Rondo has the flu. Scal played well, and has every game except for one this season.
oh good I thought doc rivers sucked as a coach..good thing I was wrong...oh wait no I wasnt but Yeah congrats to the C's on their 5-8 record..a little more impressive than 4-9 would of been
nice win. I checked the score on my phone at halftime, we were down by sixteen. I thought it was going to be another disappointment, but then I checked again and we won by 13! wish I could've seen it. I can't believe I forgot to put it on tivo.

They were just playing too well to take them out. Everything was in sync with the starting lineup, Telfair made everything happen, Pierce did everything, Gomes/Perk did all the dirty work, and Wally was very efficient. The defense was good and Redd didn't torch us. It was an outstanding 2nd half, I was a happy camper.
